I am not stuck in the past, however, the past belongs to someone's career. 

 

Secondly, why is it that her entire discography is only certified at 650k in France? She apparently can sell out stadiums full of people, but her music does not match that.

 

But I know you cannot accept that there is a place on this planet where Taylor doesn't  smash everyone. But that's a YOU thing... not a reality thing.

Sis we are talking about her touring power in the present day. Why are you bringing up career totals when it's well known that her commercial power in France is a recent development? 

 

If you're going to put your badly formatted stats in this thread at least put them in proper context. Her touring power in France today is a reflection of her appeal today and whether or not her first few albums struggled to move units in France 10 years ago is neither important nor relevant to this topic.

Only Taylor Swift can have the biggest French chart debut for an international artist in recent memory, currently be the third most streamed artist daily on Spotify France and sell out several dates in Paris yet still somehow have people insisting that its all smoke and mirrors 

 

Half the crowd in that venue could be American (which they're factually not, considering the venue's own publicised numbers) and her numbers would still be massively impressive - especially considering the promoters themselves have already flat-out said how much more demand there still is remaining

Her new album just opened with the highest first week sales for an international artist in France, and it's still charting at #1 there as we speak. Mediocre where?

I was obviously exaggerating but you're « lying » too in this case, sweeftie.

 

Several articles and TV channels are talking about 25-30% of Americans. Rolling Stone said more than 25% for exemple.

 

And yeah there was 10 to 15% of people coming from other countries.

 

Basically there was at least 40% of non-french people at her french concerts which is HUGE and abnormal. You don't see this for other big artists.

She has 650k albums certs in the country right now. Obviously they will increase over time. But in those 20 years that she has been active now - as many people say - she did not sell crazy amounts of music. That's a fact.

 

Her biggest album is 1x platinum there, while many of her albums are only Gold. 

 

All I am saying is that the touring numbers do not match the music numbers (as of now). 

 

One would assume her music numbers would match her touring stats and that she would have several albums above 500k at least.
