didnt Rihanna show Palestine love before and she was dragged

Reputation money and backlash probably they just don't want to get involved in something that could damage their image

I find it so hard to understand why Alicia has not said anything, especially considering her husband is Muslim :rip:

Although the zionists did cancel her for going paragliding :rip:

Has Madonna really said nothing? I know she's advocated for peace in the region before, I'd be shocked if she says nothing now that her tour is done.

Why are they supposed to show support for Palestine?

Pop girls do not have to weigh in on every issue.

they are singers/recording artists, not specialists in the field as politician or human right activists. we only care if they smash on chart serve bops or panned flop.

unless they got bills to speak out from their masters and be puppets for news flash.

Say about yours because both Lorde and Georgia Ellery (of Jockstrap and Black Country, New Road fame) did speak out

Just look at Bella Hadids modeling career?

I remember a while back Halsey saying she initially didn't speak out because she really didn't need violent threats against her and her child coming from all directions but she did change her mind and say something.
I can imagine some others might have similar reservations.

Lorde spoke about it several times, Team went viral with Palestine support videos, she also donated big amounts. She was talking about this & supporting Palestine even before the genocide, in 2017.

Well, there's a reason why she's an Iggy Azalea'd failure with a dead career.

I think celebrities have stopped pubicly supporting issues like this due to the contribution not being deemed "enough." So not only do they get huge backlash from people who don't agree, but the target audience also turns against them.

It's a bit of a lose-lose situation so its better for them to quietly support.

She kept advocating for peace throughout her tour. But in very subtle way. Such as this one from January:

Her dancers were more outspoken on their socials though. More than pop stars though, I'm more surprised that a lot of those progressive stand-up comedians, who were quite vocal on many political issues in the past (particularly women), are totally silent.

Agreed.

It's like asking your doctor, hairdresser, the person that bags your groceries if they support Palestine.

what is this comparison?

does your doctor & hairdresser have the millions/billions of reach and engagement like these celebrities do? they don't even have a platform to educate people about things or spread facts so of course they don't need to talk about anything lmao.

no one is forcing celebrities to talk about Palestine, but so many people are unaware of what's going around the world in their daily life, and when celebrities speak up about it, these people become aware of what's happening. not when your hairdresser speaks about it.

Because our faves are not activists, they are music stars.

Not everyone needs an opinion on everything. It's incredibly childish and immature to think so.
