That whole 6 singles on the folder on her website never really seemed like it would actually be carried out. And didn't TeamAriana also reply to a fan on Twitter that it wouldn't be what fans are expecting but there would be surprises (and IIRC, they said this shortly before announcement of the Brandy/Monica remix). I guess there might be 1 more single from the standard, or the next single will be directly from the deluxe, whenever they decide to release that. But maybe sometime before Wicked to not overshadow it, or in early 2025. For the current time, the era might take a backseat.
Scandalous Posted July 15 Posted July 15 told yall it was too late, it peaked before it was even a single i'm so mad the B&M mix was left to rot tho, it's the superior version

Truth Teller Posted July 20 Posted July 20 She released an EP with 5 versions I think, so that's probably where the boost came from, partly. A hit 2

We desperately need a Tiktok trend so this will take off again. It's so strange how everybody loved it upon release and now it's flopping?

I've accepted the injustice here.
Twizzy Posted July 20 Posted July 20 Republic is confusing me on how they're handling this. They push the original, not the remix, on urban and rhythmic radio and as the song stalls on pop radio, they release the streaming EPs and physicals. Anyway I'll be lighting my white candles tonight praying this turns around and randomly becomes a summer hit cause Ariana has done everything in her power for it

Anyway I'll be lighting my white candles tonight praying this turns around and randomly becomes a summer hit cause Ariana has done everything in her power for it I don't think the remix would've helped on Rhythmic or Urban honestly. Brandy and Monica aren't going to be a big enough draw to make those formats play a record of theirs at this point in their careers(they could've sent it to Urban AC/Adult R&B though). Now, the song obviously fits in on Rhythmic and Urban. For Urban, she never established herself there(when they should've prolly done that like 10 years ago since so much of her discography is R&B/or R&B leaning). It is moving up there though, so that's a positive. As for the video, I really truly respect her wanting to do something a bit more ambitious with it. But, honestly something basic probably would've worked even better at grabbing some attention back to this. So we're kinda where we're at, I guess. Just random musings. Satin Posted July 20 Posted July 20 bye is the clear next single if there were to be one after this one i'd imagine she drops the deluxe as a goodbye to the era though (if that even happens)
Kyle-x Posted July 20 Posted July 20 Love that she's still doing physical copies of her singles, I love collecting them
TOKYO. Posted July 20 Posted July 20 UMGs TikTok disagremeent ended this song. It went viral and the only thing UMG did was delete the viral audios. Believe me nowadays you need that lucky tiktok smash….

ATRL Moderator Azulito Posted July 22 ATRL Moderator Posted July 22 I thought this was done but it's still climbing on radio and could still go a lot higher #17 Rhythmic #18 Pop #35 HAC #38 Urban If they actually promoted it, it could potentially even go top 10 on the Hot 100. We need a TikTok challenge asap

It's so strange how everybody loved it upon release and now it's flopping? This is one of the reasons why post-album singles are so tricky in the streaming era, her fanbase that would support this as a single have already heard and loved the song four months ago so it doesn't feel new. Post-album singles these days tend to only become huge hits if they organically go viral on TikTok or with a remix. The B&M remix was great, but they aren't really trendy enough to make it a hit. A SZA remix would have been more beneficial for its performance.
