These numbers are similar to Future Nostalgia and that one had a huge hit when it was released.

She made the same error as Katy with a 4 year break

It's too long

She really didn't take a break though; honestly the long runway between Houdini and the Grammy's performance and then Training Season is probably what did it. The singles haven't been connecting in the same way as FN's either, and the album is too much of the same.

OT: Will have a cute peak for her but overall this is definitely a disappointment; I can't see it lasting long on the charts either. Maybe there's something that can help on a potential deluxe edition

Doesn't she have like 8+ vinyl variants? And I'm assuming she also has cds and maybe cassettes?

Yeah these numbers are awful. I know she doesn't have much of a fanbase to mass buy but still.

But Future Nostalgia was able to ride the wave of several hits that hadn't yet been released though; there's not a Break My Heart or a Levitating on this album.

Again the US…. Hate females.

- Doja Cat - Scarlet = 72k

- Tate McRae - Think Later = 66k
- Lizzo - Special = 69k

- Megan Thee Stallion - Traumazine = 63k

- Shakira - Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran = 34k

- P!nk - Trustfall = 74k

- Kelly Clarkson - Chemistry = 53k

- Avril Lavigne - Love Sux = 31k

- Lorde - Solar Power = 56k

- Charli XCX - Crash = 31k

- Kylie Minogue - Tension = 24k

How could any of this albums debut above 75k at least or went #1????

Decent numbers, especially after the abysmal streaming numbers in US.

Melanie martinez: 142k when her previous albums didn't crack the Hot 100 at all

Not terrible given the initial streaming numbers, but this just proves she has no fanbase, her music is faceless, and FN was a fluke and/or manufactured (we're all aware of how most of the songs were quite literally shoved down the GP's throat)

Why do I feel her predicted numbers will go down? :deadbanana:

I would argue most current popstars are like this bar maybe Billie.

Idk I feel Watcha Doing and Falling Forever sound like big radio hits, and she'll add more droplets to turn this **** around, as per

Beyoncé and Taylor?

Yes this album has no smash hits released before the album like Future Nostalgia. But after the HUGE success of the last album and the tour, she should be able to debut at least with bigger numbers. The fact she's predicted to do less after a blockbuster era that had very small debut numbers is bad and there's no way around it. I hope the numbers will go up to crack 70k, to at least beat FN's debut.

She's not over though. She can still smash with a future album.

Good for her, the album was still blocked for #1 debut  but at least she did a big 142k :clap3:
