Fortnight serving NO longevity. Why? UPDATE: predicted to leave the hot100's top 3

Recommended Posts

It's been barely two weeks and it's already already down at #4 on Global spotify and #5 on US spotify.

It failed to snatch a second #1 week in the UK despite she releasing physical copies to boost its performance.

Other hits by other pop girls had higher streams after the same days

Spoiler

edit:

Fornite is now at #8 in US spotify and predicted to drop from the top 3 in the hot 100 just in its third week.

Why do you think Tay's new single is showing signs of poor longevity?

Any longevity this album has will be exclusively due to the Swifties

The GP is not gonna listen to that album for months to come

guess she needs to move quickly with icdiwabh and release it as the 2nd single once the tour starts in Europe!!!

it is just only 2 weeks btw, hopefully it will be stable once the eras tour hit its mark in Europe!!!! Besides fortnight is unlucky competing with espresso, the artemas tiktok hit and euphoria!!!!

Because it's Taylor, most of her singles are quick frontloaded hits.

The amount of Taylor threads you've made lately, everything all right at home?

We're consuming the full album, as we have done for the past 10 eras. It's what makes our fav so large, her catalogue is great beyond her singles. Not everyone can say that :clap3:

Taylor has more stable hits than literally most mpgs over the decades

You all really be delusional

Album is doing 75m on 14th day

No fanbase can do that. You might need to actually think ig

If they feel like pushing more singles from this album it might be good to not have it cannibalize the entire era like Anti-Hero but we'll see. I love Fortnight

People are listening to the album and not just one song. :bird:

It's a bad song with no hook and there's better songs on the album. Plus it doesn't fit a summer vibe at all.

Lots of comments saying people are listening to the whole album. The trail off from track 1 all the way down to track 31 states otherwise.

fortnight wasn't the right choice for the first single, that's why it isn't holding up.

2nd single: icdiwabh (it is the obvious smash summer hit from the 16 standard tracks)

3rd single: down bad

4th single: guilty as sin/waolom

Not 8m ww still being "NO longevity" :bibliahh:  girl give it at least a month

If 8m on day 14th is Fadnight then I wonder about  :gayoncecat3:

It has little longevity considering the big drop and non-stop bleeding. Also, spending only a single week at number one is not a good look for someone who is considered to be the biggest pop star on the planet at her peak. And it's a feature on top of that. For comparison, Flowers spent 10 consecutive weeks at #1 in the UK.

It is absolutely mostly the fanbase. Y'all are BTS fans-level deranged. The amount of streaming farms being done for this album must be insane.

Because Taylor will remain at having only 2 global hits in almost 20 years; Shake It Off and Anti-Hero.

No Longevity*

* second week at #1 with the lead single of an 11TH studio album after 20 years of career, while people also use other 30 songs more than other people first singles.

OTH at his 15th day of madness at TTPD breaking every decade records

well cruel summer was not even a no. 1 hit in the UK, yet it spent 29 weeks in the top 10 there
