When you think about it, Abel really is the King of Pop.

Literally came to post those two exact albums :jonny2: Add in Dawn FM to complete the trinity.

Abel is the only pop boy delivering CONSISTENTLY across all fronts— singles, albums, concepts and imagery. It's no wonder he's the biggest male artist right now. No gimmicks, no tactics, just old fashioned talent and musical taste.

Benito was getting there but he got too big for his britches, we'll see how he recovers or continues to decline next era.

Yeah I think After Hours is really the peak of the Weeknd, I mean Blinding Lights is the most played song ever on Spotify

...Starboy is not far behind, at #5

ATRL's hate boner for Harry Styles has to be studied. It's been ongoing since before his solo career started and y'all were diminishing him, saying the record contract he got was too high and his label was gonna lose money.

Abel's albums are very good, tho. Not the peak of male pop, by any means, which is a weird concept in and of itself, but very good.

Nope. Benson Boone invented POP music in 2024.

It peaked with these 80s masterpieces:

Confessions and FS/LS were a moment too.

like?? :rip: we've had some great male pop artists come and go with great albums but sometimes it's like anything before the 2000s doesn't exist to y'all. Purple Rain and Thriller especially will literally never be beaten in terms of musical scope and impact.

If we're strictly talking 21st century pop music, then maybe.

But JT's first 3 albums can compete as can Harry Style's albums.

And Bruno Mars's 3 Peat on top of Silk Sonic is a contender as well.
