This and the upcoming BB100 will go down in history as her legend certified moment.

Other artists only have 2 1m openning weeks at most abd she got 7 now.

18 years into her career, and this might be the biggest 11th album of all time. Such crazy longevity.

It seems impossible for her to do better than this, but looking at the numbers for Midnights and how much she grew from there and the fact we all thought Midnights would be her peak. I don't know.

I think this will be her peak.

But I was wrong when I thought MIDnights was her peak :rip:

Same I'm not doubting her anymore. I'm just gonna wait for the next HDD article before I think about guessing her numbers. Queen taught me my lesson.

As for more obscure and arbitrary chart lore, after a little more research, I think that she's now fourth in terms of the most #1 albums in any calendar decade.

13, The Beatles (1960s)

10, Jay-Z (2000s, includes 2 joint albums)

9, Drake (2010s, includes 1 joint album)

8, Taylor Swift (2020s)

7, Garth Brooks (1990s)

7, Elton John (1970s)

Some notable artists to come close to this list with 6 each are Kanye (2010s), Future (2010s), Justin Bieber (2010s), The Rolling Stones (1970s), Led Zeppelin (1970s). Eminem had 5 in the 2000s, but had 6 if you count the 8 Mile soundtrack (which is debatable). I may have forgotten a few from the 2010s as I didn't break down the whole chart history of that decade. Several more major artists like Gaga, Kendrick, and Taylor herself had 5 each in the 2010s.

If she just releases the remaining Taylor's Version albums, she'll tie Jay-Z. She'll have to do that and release at least three more projects that hit #1 by the end of the decade to tie The Beatles' record. She could do it with three more new studio albums at her current pace, or she could do two studio albums and an Eras Tour live album or something. Folklore LPSS charted at #3 based on a limited RSD release, so it's clear she can get a #1 whenever she wants - it's just up to how prolific she wants this decade to be for her.

I think she might aiming for the Beatles record.
We're not even half way through the decade yet and she's already pushed out 8 releases. She knows she can beat it and she probably will.

Which means their number are just joke :bibliahh:

TTPD outsold 30 in the UK, France, Australia, Canada, Japan, .etc. For the rest we can't see the number but considering TTPD's streams excluding the US is 3x bigger than 30, I don't know how they make up number to make this two album look like equally big globally.

The numbers are huge, her fan base is rabid and her marketing tactics are unmatched. Here's the thing: 859k vinyl sales divided by 4 variants is 216k. 891 million streams divided by 31 songs is 29 million.

The numbers are inflated dramatically. Especially when you consider it's basically a double album. You almost have to divide the numbers by 2 and then decide then again by 4 to get a true picture of how many people are really buying/listening. The people who get it get it but the people who don't will never hear this music. Maybe that guy from the Pet Shop Boys was right…

What kind of insane coping is that? :rip:

Why aren't EVERY SINGLE Taylor album that successful then if it's only her fanbase buying? Why had Evermore only started with 329K units first week back in 2020 if Swifties had the power to do TTPD's sales/streams purely by themselves? Why hasn't every single of her been as successful as Fortnight is right now if it's all her fanbase and no GP? Can you give me an honest answer to that without resorting to conspiracy theories?

Taylor's success has truly broken some people's brains, it's so WEIRD to witness. OTHs really resort to the weirdest conspiracy theories to somehow convince themselves that she's not actually successful :rip:
