This could be her peak as well. I swear, ONLY in forums like this would you see people act as if TTPD's numbers are somehow not impressive 1

It's not just a flash in the pan like for other artists. We were only talking about this specific record and the one who previously held it. Not about which umpteenth successful release it is. We are talking about Ed doing more or less numbers in the same ballpark as Taylor at a time when there was a 212% increase it users. Taylor's consistency has nothing to do with this discussion.

Kitboga Posted April 27 Posted April 27 (edited) 35 minutes ago, NoName said: But there were 160 million active users on Spotify back in 2017, now there are 500 million. Congrats to Taylor but Ed's is more impressive regardless of how you look at it. LOOOOL this person memorized down to how many freakin users a streaming platform has to make an argument despite his/her fave probably is not even relevant streaming act, considering hes/shes FAKING as an Adele Stan - who herself is not a relevant streaming act, and has managed to worked up the courage to poke at a streaming record that will be the record anyway no matter how much you tried to COPE. WHAT IN THE FOCK AM I LOOKING AT HERE hahahaha 😂🤣🤣😆 And with europe being Ed/Divide's strongest market no less. I mean, it literally only has 1 #1 country outside of EU/NA. And with Europe being the weakest region for Taylor. THIS IS TOO FUNNY! Edited April 27 by Kitboga 2 6 1

Because, on top of the better streaming numbers, she also has PURE SALES too, something Ed doesn't have. I see you also conveniently ignored the post i made about Beyonce's streaming numbers because they're inconvenient to your "logic" i guess. Ariana's new album also didn't do as good in terms of streaming numbers first week compared to Thank U Next 5 years ago, also when there wasn't as much Spotify users as there is in 2024. Once again, your "logic" doesn't make any sense, having more users doesn't mean they will listen to your music. 1
brenda-walsh Posted April 27 Posted April 27 im actually surprised there are so many rappers on the list
Lord Gaga Posted April 27 Posted April 27 How are these numbers possible? I didn't hear fortnight playing at the fish market this week.

However, no one's saying having more users means more streams but it's about Ed doing 190 million when Spotify was less popular and therefore had a bigger chokehold on the ones that did use Spotify than Taylor does. And I wouldn't be so sure about those pure sales in Europe. And this is about Europe. We're talking about a 212% percentage difference in active users, not 10% or 15% or 20%. It's 212% therefore it's a super important and noteworthy factor in comparing or even making a thread like this. It's like bragging about a 1 million opening in pure sales in 2000 and comparing it to a 1 million now. It was still huge in 2000 but it is bigger and more impressive now. Edited April 27 by NoName

Well, I sort of do But I meant it as in no one's saying that having more users means automatically more streams but the equivalent of Ed's opening numbers aren't 190 million nowadays.
NoName Posted April 27 Posted April 27 Anyways, I don't get it. In that sales thread there were users saying Taylor's opening of 2+ million is more impressive than previous etc. because sales aren't a big blah blah blah blah but when I say Ed is more impressive because there were 212% less users on Spotify back then it's suddenly loud and wrong. 3 1

TTPD had 31 songs and did 254,000,000 at a time when there are over 500 million active users. Divide is still much more impressive and probably had more individual listeners as well. let it all out, you and your REAL account will be found out soon.
liam13 Posted April 27 Posted April 27 damn that one user reminds me of brandnewbrandon anyway, she can only get bigger from here. ts12 will demolish everyone and their mother 1
chiliam Posted April 27 Posted April 27 This is impressive that Ed hold that record for 7 years. That album is smashjng smashing in Eu. And now its so strange for a local artist like Taylor to break that record And funny things are all their collabs flop. 2
Tistotal Posted April 27 Posted April 27 The fact that Ed hold this record for all these years makes it more impressive tbh.
Blade Runner Posted April 27 Posted April 27 (edited) How are these numbers possible? ATRL user ILoveCUNTYPopgirlsBuTOnlyWhenTheyDoWhatITellThemToDo said his group of gay friends doesn't like her and therefore she's OVER. Edited April 27 by Blade Runner 8
