Normani - 'DOPAMINE'

I knew you'd always come swinging Normani, now I can't stop replaying this in full once Big Boi repeats after WS Extended. We need Vinyls expeditiously

Just that big boy, used to bump that André and that Big Boi
Small change, turn them small pieces into big boys

Controversial, but: justice for Fair. Would've been a perfect album track on this record.

I feel like this part was meant to be sung by a male artist, and they just ended up keeping Starrah's vocals on it :rip:

I also have reason to believe the album cover pic was shot and then flipped horizontally for the cover, and also that it was done in July 2023 :deadbanana4:

I had negative zero expectations for this album just based on how long she took to release it but wow I'm surprised! What a voice :clap3: I was not expecting to like it this much. I really hope her label supports her because she deserves to be recognized for her talent.

Exactly this. I had low expectations because I wasn't loving any of her one offs. But she really delivered a quality album while sticking to her now signature sound.

Not sure how much trust we have in her parents on twitter lol but her dad is making it seem like visuals are coming very soon and that the plan was to let the music come first then the visuals second to give the project legs and for longevity

Starrah is gay though. So I doubt it.

The update though.... I swear Candy Paint was the second track for me when I first downloaded the album and it wasn't the "new" cersion y'all spoke of

Let me delete and re-download.

not sure if this is good or not .

This makes me think if Candy Paint was a proper single with radio and video, it would have 500k at least a day on Spotify. That would have been really helpful right now for the album streams.

I LOOOOOOVE the album!! It's such a vibe. My only complain that it felt so short :cries:

I still have "Candy Paint" on high rotation :gaycatina1:

The album is a whole vibe, and good for her leaning more into R&B.

I can fully hear why "Motivation" was a stand alone single.

She made All Yours for me :weeps:

Little Secrets slaps! But I enjoyed the album as a whole for sure.

Album is fantastic.

I love that despite the sleek & minimalist sonic production, it still goes to interesting places & it never upstages her voice which remains front and centre - silky-smooth, sensual, yet commanding, almost like she's crooning directly into your ear the entire time, it fits so well with the overall intimate vibe & concept.

I really appreciate that there isn't any sappy or forced vulnerability, just for the sake of it, either. I'll still skip the Gunna song & likely replace it with the masterpiece "Waves", but other than that, I wouldn't change a thing.

It's everything I wanted from her & then some! Well done. :clap3:
