ImpressMeMuch
So, you all probably remember the backlash at beyonce for selling vinyls promising bonus tracks, only for them to that to be false plus the vinyls were outdated and missing tracks due to being printed a while back. Well, it seems like what was an accident for Beyonce became a strategy for miss Taylor as promised bonus tracks on various pre-order editions were included in the "surprise" Anthology release a mere two hours after release! Before fans even got their exclusive copies in the mail, the general public already had their hands on everything. Seems the only difference is Taylor had correct advertising but this froot looks familiar. Discuss! Edited April 19 by ImpressMeMuch

KatyPrismSpirit
This vinyl discourse literally makes no sense. The album is released as a standard edition and double album edition. The standard edition was announced beforehand with the correct tracklist the anthology double album was a surprise release, it wasnt even previously announced to be a vinyl release so this isnt even a situation where "only half was released on physical copy". The physical copy for "TTPD: THE ANTHOLOGY" wasnt announced yet or doesnt exist in the first place. Edited April 19 by KatyPrismSpirit
Mandalore
The fans get what they paid for and what was advertised in the store. No songs cut or missing. The 2nd part is a premeditated surprise, that no one was really entitled to having but she did it anyway and we're so thankful What you're doing is a logical fallacy called false equivalence. Trying to equate pressing isssues/russhed decisions with prolific songwriting surprise. Hope that helps! The tweet is making the claim that tracks that were marked as bonus for vinyls or then included in the anthology also, it's anthology not alchemist lol

But yes they are still bonus tracks to the standard edition. fans purchased the product they saw beforehand and paid for. so its not a similar situation imo but i understand your point of view as well

Vespertine
You're comparing a surprise double album to a vinyl with scrapped cover art that was clearly pressed before the album was finished under a different title Doesn't really compute.

Illuminati
The problem with Beyonce's release was that all of the websites that sell the album showed conflicting information on the tracklist for the physical album. It was misleading and uncharacteristic for Beyonce. Taylor has put out all of Midnights tracks on streaming including the standard songs, the 3AM tracks, the bonus song and the outtake/vault track. Nobody who bought the album thought they were gonna get some exclusive that will never make its way to the internet. All of the physical albums come with at least one bonus track so they weren't paying extra either. Edited April 19 by Illuminati

It's just funny how when it was beyonce certain people were quick to call her a scammer and cheap but when Taylor similarly makes bonus tracks accessible on release day it's a gift to the fans I wonder why they get judged differently!! Klein
Taylor Swift fans got EXACTLY what they purchased. Beyoncé fans have vinyls with the wrong artwork, missing tracks, and a QR code instead of actual tracklist.
