Virgos Groove Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Swifties will always babble on about ReLaTaBiLiTy!!11! and then act surprised when a billionaire popstar acts... like a billionaire popstar. These people are NOT our friends. 1 1 11
Bimbo Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Even if you ignore Beyonce talking about "controversial stuff" in her lyrics, she also takes risks with her sound. Taylor could never do this, she's safe, she needs to be played as the background music in a McDonald's ad, appeal to everyone. 5 3

She sings about sexy babies, tattooed golden retrievers, drugs, etc. 5
Great808 Posted April 18 Posted April 18 They both take themselves very seriously but Beyonce takes herself beyond seriously to the point where there's literally no fun. What she puts out is way too try-hard and yes in many instances simply just not good. Taylor is at least an artist even tho a weak one because she creates her own art while Beyonce relies on hundreds of ppl to create hers and I believe that since Taylor is more in control is very good at being the captain of her career and will always prevail. 1 1
The7thStranger Posted April 18 Posted April 18 For her most recent album cycles, Beyoncé's music has had very specific sound to it that has made her somewhat more of an acquired taste. Taylor's style is more mass market. I've said before she has a young-adult-fiction quality to her writing, and that's something that appeals to a very large crowd.
Popular Post ThousandMiles Posted April 18 Popular Post Posted April 18 Why is this even a question when it's so obvious Taylor is: 1. Caucasian 2. Vanilla 3. Not controversial 4. Not outspoken politically 5. Not overly sexual 16

Why would Beyoncé need to change her approach to appease those people when she already has a strong fanbase? Clearly not strong enough otherwise they'd be buying her albums
Mordecai Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Because Beyonce is a cultural icon and has had a significant cultural impact. People don't have to buy the music for it to be talked about and discussed Taylor is not (or if you want to argue about that she is comparatively smaller). There's really not much to talk about when it comes to her outside of her success 1
50thStateofMind Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Taylor is the biggest female artist in the world, why would Beyonce sell as much?

Cotton Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Taylor is white & mediocre which attracts a big following under the guise of 'relatability' that + having a family friendly image and plain, inoffensive songs that can be easily consumed makes her a commercial juggernaut 2 1
Karla Cabello Posted April 18 Posted April 18 also a lot of people live their white girl fantasy tru taylor that why she is so popular
Burn Posted April 18 Posted April 18 (edited) 4 minutes ago, Josh said: Clearly not strong enough otherwise they'd be buying her albums They are. You're acting like she's selling 4k rather than 400k+ Not every artist is gonna sell millions of records first week nor do they need to. The amount of artists who do can be counted on one hand. You're putting too much importance on numbers. I promise you Beyoncé doesn't care half as much as YOU do about HER sales. Now that's what's sad. Edited April 18 by Burn 1
Chris Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Why do the Beyonce and Taylor fans allow these gays to create stupid, meaningless, boring threads over and over and you guys always fall for it? Not to mention you guys repeat the same things over and over. Are you not bored? 4 2

Sexual innuendo lyrics in her songs like Dress doesn't evenly closely compare to Beyoncé's half naked album cover shoots, and Beyoncé's partition… come on now. 1 1

Shelter Posted April 18 Posted April 18 34 minutes ago, Josh said: Taylor is more relatable, people of all ages can relate to her not just girls and young women. Beyonce is too private for people and barely has any personality to relate to her. How is Taylor relatable to you Josh, you got a lot of exes you cry about? OP. Taylor plays it safe, she is like PG Disney and we know the other reason. 1
