skysolo Posted April 10 Posted April 10 If and when Sweetenerpee is wrong and TTPD is a Midnights rehash instead of a 70s soft rock inspired masterpiece I'm literally going to find a way to light myself on fire in front of her and traumatize her for life 7
Michael196 Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Why are some trying to rewrite history, yes all the vaults got their gems, but haven't we settled that the sacRED vault won't be touched on November 12th, 2021 when we first got blessed with Forever Winter and her sisters that were unjustifiably locked away for almost almost decade… 1
PoisonedIvy Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Didn't we JUST reach page 600 yesterday? And now we're halfway to page 700? 1

skysolo Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Any album ranking with self titled in bottom two immediately exposes you as someone who either hasn't listened to it enough or someone who doesn't truly appreciate the word of the lord SacRed Peak Now Folklord Wigless Reputayqueenshit Evermore Self titled 193NEIN Lover Literal horse **** MIDshites Let me be clear and say that I love all her albums (except for one). 1989's placement on this list and the silly nickname doesn't mean I don't appreciate and enjoy it, it's just in a lower place in her discography for me compared to other albums
Michael196 Posted April 10 Posted April 10 You just know that the undercover TN agent among us is sending screenshots of the so called insider and the reactions to their bs info on an hourly basis to thee group chat and they're laughing their asses off at the clownery. like please… any real info would've gotten the thread shut down over 24 hours ago, like history have taught us, same with the "wrapped around my finger" similarities which implies that the AI mess that have been comfortably getting shared nonstop for weeks without being taken down, is somehow real. 1
pinkbowvintage Posted April 10 Posted April 10 I gotta be honest, aside from a handful of re-records that sound better on TV, the original Red recordings are often superior, including Holy Ground (the re-record is off), Come Back Be Here and We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (the WeeeEEEe kills me). Meanwhile SBT sounds better on the re-record. Red TV is fantastic no doubt, and Nothing New, AT10, Better Man, Babe and I Bet You Think About Me are fantastic, but I'm not a big fan of Message in a Bottle or The Very First Night or Run. Overall the album is sonically all over the place even though it is a classic. 1989 TV however is a totally different album to me than 1989. It made me listen to the original (which at the time was wildly overplayed in my circles) in a whole new way. She added so much depth to the production and I love all the vault tracks. Speak Now TV is also great though it's missing a lot of the raw emotion of the original recordings even though the vocals and production have improved immensely (see Dear John, which doesn't hit quite the same). Fearless TV is very cute and an easy-going listen, but again it lacks some of the punch of the OG recordings. Overall, personally, I'd rank it: 1. 1989 TV 2. Red TV 3. Speak Now TV 4. Fearless TV All have pluses and minuses. 1 1

HappierJealousy Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Lover is way better than Reputation and it's her best pop album. This is simply the truth, god said this when the world is created. The first neutron screamed this millisecond after the big Bang. I'm sorry but some people fuming there seems like they can go against the law of the nature, the eternal objective, the inner principles, the admonition from higher dimension, is delightfully funny. When Cruel Summer is played in the starship of the first interstellar migration of humanity and Lover(A) is introduced to the aliens as the representative of human nature, you will see the light. But I guess most of you won't make it there 3 1

pinkbowvintage Posted April 10 Posted April 10 They're all excellent albums but to me she peaked lyrically, sonically and thematically with evermore, folklore and Red. minimal if zero filler in any of these and some of her most personal and cohesive work, though I'd take out a few songs from OG Red and swap with Red TV like Stay, Stay, Stay would go out, Nothing New would go in. 1989 is career-defining and a classic and the TV enhances it. Speak Now same thing, though there are a few duds on it like Innocent (sorry it's very pretty but the Kanye thing is not it) and Mean is kinda cringe/teeny in retrospect though a bop. The first 3 tracks of Speak Now are perfection and it contains some of her best lyrics and songwriting. Fearless is magical and full of great songs, but Reputation has overall stronger songs to me. Lover and Midnights are sort of in the same space to me. Some fantastic tracks, some needless filler, a lot of sonic mismatch. 1

I've been dying for her to go in a '70s soft rock/Fleetwood Mac/Carly Simon-inspired direction since the Midnights photoshoot teased us so hard. It would REALLY suit her voice and songwriting style more than an overproduced synth pop track. I am praying for something on TTPD like: 1
PoisonedIvy Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Wait.. you guys are unironically ranking her albums? Oh dear, it's worse than I feared. 2
