Shoful Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Some of you have serious issues. Legit were obsessed with Joe when they were together now that they're broken up you all despise him. You don't even know this man to say such character assassination comments. Obviously she's going to say unlikeable things about the guy cause they broke up and she always seems like a burn all bridges person during a break up. But why do fans have to make deranged attacks at these people like they personally attacked them. Insane behavior 2 5 4
19SLAYty9 Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Red literally got me through my first heartbreak 12 years ago… I'm so pumped for this album 6

JawBreaker Posted April 4 Posted April 4 13 days until this thread is filled with everyone trashing the album and having meltdowns and saying that the GP/critics won't like it. My stupid ass falls for it yet again and thinks I'm gonna hear the worst **** ever 15 days until us normal fans are gagged to the heavens. Those 100 ratings from The Independent and Rolling Stone roll through with that high 80s score on Metacritic. The thread starts switching. Apple Music top 16 spot fully occupied by 3pm ET. Spotify hits us at 5pm with the " On Friday April 19,2024, Taylor Swift's THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT became the most-streamed album in a single day in Spotify history.“ We all collectively gag with that earthquake gif 16 days until we wake up to the gaggery of it all. Swifties have a field day. HDD hits us with that underestimated 1.3m-1.5m debut and the rest is history 1 13

Mandalore Posted April 4 Posted April 4 (edited) Taylor > vindictive, can't move on, kinda pathetic (fine) Joe > boring, no charisma, tangibly wasn't supportive of her fame/career (omg you don't know him tho) I wanna make it clear, idgaf about him. In fact, the best thing about Taylor's music is that I can take it and it always somehow applies to MY real life. That's why I'm a stan. But I've been noticing this weird subset of Swifties who are acting like legit widows of his and won't hesitate to throw HER under the bus for a guy they ACTUALLY know nothing about except how she portrayed him in her songs. The irony! So yeah, anytime they wanna try it, I have no problem expressing my not so favorable impression of him. Sorry not sorry. Edited April 4 by Mandalore 4 4

Virgos Groove Posted April 4 Posted April 4 If she doesn't have a single song as good as this, she can keep it. That pen was PENNING 3
skysolo Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Okay I refuse to be portrayed as a Joewidow nobody dislikes that man more than me. I don't have strong opinions on any of her boyfriends/relationships nor do I really ship any of them, I'm just here for her. I think Tayvis are pretty cute actually but the way they got together and the incessant PR machine around them does strike me as kind of disingenuous. Of course I hope she's happy but I've also been a fan long enough (15 years) to know she doesn't get over anything and I don't think she's fully over Joe yet. She thought he was the one for like six years! That doesn't just disappear over a few months. Karma is the guy on the Chiefs!

vale9001 Posted April 5 Posted April 5 (edited) Btw I don't know how you can think with how smart She Is with narratives She will go again on the "maybe She should write a song about how She is the problem". This album will have a lot of self blaming and self shading Not we are never ever ever toe you're a jobless loser etc...like a pankakker thread on Twitter Edited April 5 by vale9001 1
vale9001 Posted April 5 Posted April 5 (edited) I mean a song like but Daddy i love him what sounds to you from the title more than a sort of blank space where She mocks herself and her image or how She fails in relationships? Edited April 5 by vale9001
scottstreet Posted April 5 Posted April 5 This whole thread is so insane in hindsight, but this quote right here… Girl changed her whole belief system for that relationship. We joke about it a lot, but we're truly NOT ready for what she's about to do with TTPD. 1 1

The math isn't mathing Well 2016-2017 she was in hiding and depressed and didn't want to be seen herself. 2018-2019 she kind of assumed her peak had come and she would be fading and he probably believed that too meaning they'd have more alone time soon, 2019-2020, the whole era was kind of about how much she loved him and I think he liked that, 2020-2021 was the whole pandemic and they were stranded together because they had to be and all her promo was virtual, then 2022 once the world went back to normal and she was bigger than ever he couldn't deal with that and they broke up at the beginning of the following year. It makes perfect logistical sense to me how they were together so long given the worldwide events Edited April 5 by 19SLAYty9 2

Migs30283 Posted April 5 Posted April 5 What if the TTPD album Side A tracks is produced by Louis Bell and the Side B,C,D tracks are produced by Jack, Sounwave, and Aaron?

Ms. Togekiss Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Someone should start reviving those iconic midnights gifs (the one where two ladies throw tomato soup onto a painting) for when TTPD inevitably l words
Cruel Summer Posted April 5 Posted April 5 I've been thinking a little bit today about the fact that even if Louis Bell and Sounwave are involved - which isn't guaranteed really - that doesn't tell us anything truly meaningful about the overall soundscape of the record. Red is a record that's more country and rock than straight-up radio pop, but still of course features work by Max Martin, and I feel like this could be similar in that regard. I also don't want to pigeonhole those two producers into being designated radio pop producers. Even Jack isn't limited to synth pop. Like, she could drop a full credits list tomorrow and I wouldn't actually feel like we know anything about how this will sound. Plus, if there's any producer whose work with Taylor you generally don't like… remember she's almost certainly just as responsible for those tracks as they are. 2
