That's the only crumb we have as far as sound goes. Do they mean like the real Alternative/Rock genre or what Swifties call Folklore? 1
omrimayo Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Thank god for no lead right now, that (great) WCBF Ariana’’s song shaping to be mega massive, rare jumps and going crazy all over the world (much much bigger than how THE looked back there) Let’s hope it will slow down in 5 weeks!

At this stage in career Taylor having hits or not doesn't matter Ariana has lot of ground to cover so it's more than fine for us. She is doing great and good for her imo. I just hope ttpd is good album
Sprawl Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Genre descriptions are useless tbh the sonic direction they can take is so vast it’s quite impossible to decipher what a song is going to sound like based on just that Only a short snippet or a direct comparison/reference to another existing song would give us an actual idea I fear The guessing games on this thread are fun though 3

What genre do you consider The National’s albums to be? Because they’re labeled as an alternative band and folk/more are sonically very similar (obvious reasons). 1
What_A_Mess Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Cant wait for Jack and Taylor’s next Synthpop masterpiece 2

I’m so baffled by swifties gagging at ES’ “stability” as if it’s still gonna be in the general conversation by 2025. 3

Swifties get swayed by vibes very easily Yes ES is doing great but again it's not even 20% of Midnights so far So I don't know why they care It's same cycle every year 4

My Tears Ricochet Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Her album releases are so boring these days. I think I enjoyed Lover era more than anything we've gotten ever since. Even the trauma of getting blocked 2x by Lil Nas X felt much more eventful atp 3

Burqa Posted March 12 Posted March 12 i'm sorry but most of yall wouldn't survive another lover type of rollout mind you the album was announced 2 months after the (dreadful) lead came out 4

Even the trauma of getting blocked 2x by Lil Nas X felt much more eventful atp I agree.. if we're not getting singles anyway i'd rather have surprise drops but ofc that will never happen because she wants the preorders Like atleast make it 1 month of preorders instead of 2.5.. i'd be very interested to see how many people actually preorder after the first week or so.. surely most people just preorder right away or after an variant is announced Spoiler Week 1: Album announced + first variant Week 2: tracklist reveal + second variant Week 3: Third variant Week 4: Fourth Variant and talking about some of the inspirations etc Week 5: Album release + MV for lead Sounds much better and i doubt i'd impact the numbers tbh.. shes not doing promo anyways. In the age of internet everyone will have heard about the album coming anyways after the first day or two Edited March 12 by TaylenaStan 2
Kern Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Unless there is something planned between the last variant and the album release....
Feanor Posted March 12 Posted March 12 'eternal sunshine' and its singles are coming to overshadow TTPD huh? 3
folkloreking Posted March 12 Posted March 12 I see this thread has reached the delusional stage of Swiftie Grief. 1

Burqa Posted March 12 Posted March 12 looking back on lover i'm surprised i didn't unstan, the amount of delusion that was fed by the SSers was enough to make us go crazy when they said paper rings talks about how "the girls with shiniest rings have the shittest relationships" and it's not mentioned once in the song when they said it was her best album when they said cruel summer was produced by max martin only for her to replace him with joel little (lol) 2

It's literally a drag to Taylor but swifties don't understand that. 2
