The "sincerely, the chairman of the tortured poets department" seems something could be related to every song. Like a link. I really hope it's not just a biographical break up album but the personal references can be caught in most universal songs (like for my tears richochet, mad woman and many others from folkmore) With Post Malone on this proves this album is essentially an more pop folklore/evermore
KnightOfAllRealms Posted February 5 Posted February 5 We need a song like this https://open.spotify.com/track/4CkgMiMqZ5JzW9iYXSTMTL?si=O1f-I9vLRqKgt41JVWrHJg 2
Klein Posted February 5 Posted February 5 (edited) A feat with Post Malone sounds like a great idea for an album like Lover, but not for The Tortured Poets Department. I honestly would prefer it if there weren't any collab at all. Edited February 5 by Klein 1

We don't even know that TTPD album is like, we are blinded, have no idea if it is a good or bad execution He could help with maybe some rhythmic radio exposition to have a bigger peak and more longevity?
Vespertine Posted February 5 Posted February 5 I can't wait till we see the 99% Jack credits + TikTok track lengths ("Lover 2.0 incoming") so I can spam this jpeg again 2 1

I think "the smallest man who ever lived" is a anti-Trump song. She probably wrote "clara bow" after watching Babylon. I hope she asked Justin Hurwitz for the production. That would be amazing. "so long, london" is probably her saying bye to the Joe era. I wonder why she wrote a song about Florida.

Arcade ring Posted February 5 Posted February 5 The cover and aesthetics for this look so good so far. I'm worried it'll be another bait and switch like Midnights, I was ready for a 70s vibe and got karma is a cat. I feel like her Haim - Gasoline collab would fit perfectly into this aesthetic. Hope she leans into that. 2 2
Vespertine Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Why is anyone even bothering with any "leaked" tracklists at this stage Is this your first ever album release, girlies? 6
