That means he makes about 195K a month before any taxes $2 MILLION a year! Let me get into reacting, tf His reactions are so boring tho sorry
Kyle-x Posted May 2 Posted May 2 YOU SAID NORMAL GIRLS WERE BORING BUT YOU WERE GONE BY THE MORNING YOU KICKED OUT THE STAGE LIGHTS BUT YOURE STILL PERFORMING!!!! 4
pinkbowvintage Posted May 2 Posted May 2 The more I hear people ***** and moan, the more it makes me appreciate how she did NOT make an album FOR the general public. She made an album for herself. 6
KarmaCat Posted May 2 Posted May 2 Yeah I think this album will actually lack longevity the way Midnights had, due to the fact that it lacks mainstream appeal apart from a couple of songs. TS12 will hopefully be that beast of an album again! 1

See I think the opposite will happen; this album has way more overall depth than Midnights both lyrically and sonically, and the more I listen to it, the better it gets. I loved Midnights but the amount of things I could "hear" was always limited. I think the more people hear this, the more they'll appreciate it, and TTPD will become a cult classic. 2

He admits what he likes/loves without being an a$$ kisser, and also admits what he's not quite feeling without being hypercritical and unfair. Put You On is another good channel doing this lately, though, it's a dad and his son listening with even less of the performative theatrics.
kexin Posted May 2 Posted May 2 not Sophie and the Gang, The Albatross, and How Did It End? hitting atm 2

While with TTPD, you have to take times to digest the whole albums, read the lyrics, get used to the melody to really appreciate it, and i think only fans willing to do that, the GP will give up after 2-3 full listens and still haven`t found the bops they want. The tour can change that, though. Like with folklore, it decreased fast in the 1st two year, but the stream is picking up in it`s 3rd years with the tour helping more and more people discover and appreciate and surprise that Taylor actually deliver something different from her usual pop sound 2
idkwiam Posted May 2 Posted May 2 It's insane how her track 2s used to be AMAZING and now with her latest albums (maroon and PSTD) are TRASHES 1 2 7

It'll likely get a full era, especially if it'll come after the TVs are done. I'm so seated. More like TS13!!!! TS13 will be the peak of the peaks (commercially, critically, general public reaction) 1

PoisonedIvy Posted May 2 Posted May 2 (edited) I have to share this theory I saw on TikTok because it's actually driving me crazy pondering on its validity. Sorry it's a little long, but hopefully I kept it concise & less confusing than I worry it might be Taylor sings: "You crashed my party in your rental car" (Taylor to Matty in The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived) "Remember when I pulled up and said get in the car?" (Augustine to James in August) "What if I just showed up at your party? Would you have me would you want me?" (James to Betty in Betty) The TikTok I saw is positioning that: Betty is Joe James is Taylor Augustine is Matty And that there was an emotional affair of sorts in Taylor's end that led to the creation of the "teenage love trilogy" in folklore. Augustine (aka Matty) pulled up that summer and asked James (aka Taylor) to get in the (rental) car, crashing the party (aka Taylor's relationship with Joe / James relationship with Betty). Then forcing James (aka Taylor) to go to Betty's (aka Joe's) doorstep and crash -her- (his) party to ask forgiveness. Her gender flipping the three of them would be a genius red herring if so; we all have been wondering if she was Betty all along when we should've been asking could she be James? To add to this, Betty is the one song out of the trilogy on folklore that Joe contributed to (so long as we are believing the credits Taylor has provided us with and her story in the Long Pond special on Disney+ about Betty). Which would fit the song being "his" narrative. And I know you can refute this by saying her and Matty didn't actually hook up, whereas James and Augustine did; but to that I say since TTPD forced us to reevaluate her catalogue, I've bought into "Ivy" being a fictional perspective of her running away with Matty, and Joe being the husband in that narrative. So she's not afraid to implicate herself as the cheater or the one having an affair even if it didn't actually happen in real life. Honestly with the boredom and loneliness she had in her relationship of course she'd find an emotional/mental means of escape and if that meant envisioning an affair with Matty well, power to her Edited May 2 by PoisonedIvy 6 1

Midnights will be way more listened by the GP but TTPD will be more played by her loyal fanbase. That being said is not like Midnights has a HUGE smash appart from Anti-hero. Lavender Haze and espcially Karma did very good as singles, but are not GP classics. So i'm not sure if the GP is going to keep listening to this that much in the years to come appart from Anti-hero. While I think that appart from Fortnight, if she performes I can Do It with a broken heart in the eras tour all summer long in Europe, it can end up with better numbers than LH and Karma did in Midnights. I hope she performs at least: Fortnight, ICDIWABH, My Boy.. and So High School. I think that all those 3 could have a great reception if performed at the tour. Maybe even Who's afraid of... (preparing peple for ReputaTV).
taylor__fan Posted May 2 Posted May 2 Posty decreased to #14 (-3) in Artist chart today, so probably Fortnight is coming for an iportant drop..
Migs30283 Posted May 2 Posted May 2 Posty is number 14 on daily global artist on Spotify. Sabrina is number 26.

Still great though. Midnights tour dates were announced in its 12th day and the new added dates a couple of days later, so this helped to boost Anti-hero. 2

We writers are very fond of fictionalizing our own experiences. 1

See, it's not even wild to me that she writes her subconscious feelings through fictional lenses at times, it's wild that she keeps up with and refers back to them with intention. Like, how does her mind keep up with so many different webs she weaves? It's insane. Her entire catalogue is one interwoven tapestry of wonder.
Squall Posted May 2 Posted May 2 (edited) As for reaction channels, I loved Beards & Brains, they always come with nice interpretation of the lyrics (sometimes they are off but they have a good imagination and don't necessarily know the story behind the songs) and really pay attention to it. They aren't hysterical and too much like these two girls Swifties love They don't seem to be active anymore though Edited May 2 by Squall
