I was just trying to re-ignite it Spoiler For what it's worth, I prefer to imagine it's about Travis because enough of the Rat, and won't change my mind until there's something substantial to support the Rat theory 1
Taylor fanboy Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Does my Spotify stream count if the volume of my phone is less than 50%? I wanna know better.

What if I told you I'm back? The hospital was a drag Worst sleep that I ever had I circled you on a map I haven't come around in so long But I'm coming back so strong Correct, plus the "circled you on a map" could be a reference to all that discourse that "Taylor put Travis on the map," a popular trend last fall on TikTok

Monster Queen Posted April 25 Posted April 25 No I have streamed TTPD title tracks more than 20 times today I have to force myself to listen ICDIWALBH to avoid any filtered stream
PoisonedIvy Posted April 25 Posted April 25 But speaking of Matty retcons, in the opposite end of the spectrum I listened to their last album (Being Funny in a Foreign Language) and god, half that album is about Taylor and no one even knew it 2
justin. Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Hey Stephen is actually about Ratty. Not many people know this.
Migs30283 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Listened to fortnight more than 50 times and it's still rocks 5
PoisonedIvy Posted April 25 Posted April 25 In "About You," Matty sings about them pretending to be married. Which is exactly what Taylor mentions here. I cannot believe two of my favorite artists were emotionally eloping with each other for so long and inspiring some of my favorite songs. And I saw his "be a cowboy." speech at the NME awards in february 2020 that certainly inspired Cowboy like me 2

But most people (if you can call them that) in here are NOT ready for this conversation
Taylor fanboy Posted April 25 Posted April 25 All the obviously silly retcons won't change the fact that this album has Matty all over it. Hasn't The Lord dragged us all enough on BDILH? 1

mael Posted April 25 Posted April 25 And somehow Joebless still won with SLL, MBOBHFT, loml and ICDIWABH 1
Nein Posted April 25 Posted April 25 I seriously hate how much I relate to The Black Dog. My favourite song in ages. Except for "The Starting Line" reference, it's actually her music. 2

PoisonedIvy Posted April 25 Posted April 25 (edited) Cassandra and Robin are kinda the closest things to excess on this album but yet and still I don't want to be rid of them. (I do think Robin - Manuscript is an awful way to fizzle out the back half of the album, despite me personally enjoying both songs I haven't figured out a reworked tracklist though, yet). I'm still trying to give these boys a chance but they just ain't doing it for me! I can almost guarantee you if my bottom 6 came out as some sort of mini EP a few months ago I'd actually really like them but they just lost in the mix for me... 1
