It can't be about the Superbowl but it can be about any other football game :rip:

Oh babe, I'm not that invested on whether the song is about Travis or Matty but I found the debate entertaining to read. I was just trying to re-ignite it :suburban:

Spoiler

For what it's worth, I prefer to imagine it's about Travis because enough of the Rat, and won't change my mind until there's something substantial to support the Rat theory :ryan3:

Does my Spotify stream count if the volume of my phone is less than 50%?

I feel like the first verse is implying that She is returning to America and dating an American guy again...

What if I told you I'm back?
The hospital was a drag
Worst sleep that I ever had
I circled you on a map
I haven't come around in so long
But I'm coming back so strong

Correct, plus the "circled you on a map" could be a reference to all that discourse that "Taylor put Travis on the map," a popular trend last fall on TikTok

No I have streamed TTPD title tracks more than 20 times today :jonnycat:

I have to force myself to listen ICDIWALBH to avoid any filtered stream

But speaking of Matty retcons, in the opposite end of the spectrum I listened to their last album (Being Funny in a Foreign Language) and god, half that album is about Taylor and no one even knew it :rip:

Hey Stephen is actually about Ratty. Not many people know this.

Listened to fortnight more than 50 times and it's still rocks

In "About You," Matty sings about them pretending to be married. Which is exactly what Taylor mentions here. I cannot believe two of my favorite artists were emotionally eloping with each other for so long and inspiring some of my favorite songs. And I saw his "be a cowboy." speech at the NME awards in february 2020 that certainly inspired Cowboy like me :jonny2:

Maybe I'm late to the discourse but her delivery of "will I always.. wonder?" in CoSoSoM sounds like "will I always.. want her?" @Vespertine @Great Username @Taylor fanboy

Oh I KNOW. But most people (if you can call them that) in here are NOT ready for this conversation :weeps:

All the obviously silly retcons won't change the fact that this album has Matty all over it.

Hasn't The Lord dragged us all enough on BDILH?

The longing in her wavering voice as she ponders that final question, ahh :jonny2: The forbidden fruit indeed

That reminds me about something I've been wanting to say about Fortnight…

I ended up loving Fortnight a lot, but there's one tiny thing that takes me out of it, which is that the "I love you" line immediately makes me hear "for giving me your eyes" :toofunny3:

And somehow Joebless still won with SLL, MBOBHFT, loml and ICDIWABH

I seriously hate how much I relate to The Black Dog. My favourite song in ages.

Except for "The Starting Line" reference, it's actually her music.

Cassandra and Robin are kinda the closest things to excess on this album but yet and still I don't want to be rid of them. (I do think Robin - Manuscript is an awful way to fizzle out the back half of the album, despite me personally enjoying both songs :rip: I haven't figured out a reworked tracklist though, yet).

I'm still trying to give these boys a chance but they just ain't doing it for me!

:clack:

I can almost guarantee you if my bottom 6 came out as some sort of mini EP a few months ago I'd actually really like them but they just lost in the mix for me...
