Once again, Taylor usually does a great job with lyrics but as a composer she´s not that good - most TTPD melodies sound like they are taken from children's songs.

I am sure many will not agree (and disclaimer: I am not a hater here) but this album is boring to me, most songs feel like Everomer leftovers and it definitely lacks a song that is radio-friendly enough (like Shake it Off, Cruel Summer or Anti-hero).

She's such a big artist now that she can do quality music, she can work with quality writers and evolve.

And TTPD is something else... that only swifties will enjoy.

No I love Midnights, but the 1989 vault gave me Bejeweled energy which isnt my favorite. I love tracks like Maroon, Glitch, Dear Reader, YOYOK, Labyrinth, Mastermind, WCS, Paris, SOTB.

SLL is similar to YOYOK, Gold Rush and Mirrorball

I feel she needs a critical reckoning which makes her work harder and not rest on her laurels for the next album and reassess her sound and rebrand for  the next era. she can work with antonoff and dessner in a decade if she wants to.

btw just because you think its the same sound doesn't mean she is not working harder for each album she is releasing and she def not need ciritical reckoning

The only good vocal moment in the album is from Florence Welch.

Taylor is speaking/reading the whole album.

You guys are just making things up at this point like this is not true :suburban:

@PoisonedIvy I haven't read your reactions yet sis - I need to know if you agree with me that this album is The 1975ification of Taylor Swift (and if you like it!) or if you think I'm delusional :clack:

As much as I love the album, JackPop could mean the same thing. King Aaron thank you for everything.

We're ready for Aaron's puta vault.

(Lack of) Quality wise no but a lot of them follow the same run-on sentence structure :chick1:

As long as it isn't as clunky as Question's verses and bridge.......... it should be fine :suburban:

YES!!  I said that Fortnight and the title track gives their second album, Guilty as Sin gives Robbers/Sex from their first album, and the bands sonic influences creep up all throughout the album. Oh my god. It's a dream come true. I'm in heaven. My 2015 self has died and gone to heaven. I'm so glad you're on the same wavelength.
