Mess.

27 tracks and the album is only doing 13M daily streams :suburban:

Meanwhile ES is doing 17M daily :suburban:

I can name you one with the same amount of tracks doing 10% of that

On topic though, the hype just died down but it may serve longevity if she does a tour!

Going from +70M to less than 14M in less than a month after release isn't really good though to be fair. And I'm saying this as someone who likes CC.

OT - It took me a few listens to get into the album and I love most songs from it now, but it honestly doesn't have much replay value for me. Its one of those albums that I have to be in a certain mood to play. Same thing happened with Lemonade and I see CC suffering the same fate. One the other hand, Renaissance was an album that I could play at any time on shuffle and just bop.

This. People sometimes forget this aspect when discussing the music when I think it should be an important part of it. Me personally think Cowboy Carter is a much better album than Eternal Sunshine but ES has a much better replayability than CC.

Same with video games.

i don't think it has a lot of replay value. it is quite good but I haven't found myself returning to it much outside of bodyguard and tyrant

she will probably finally win AOTY for it so it'll work out in the end :bird:

She doesnt have longevity because she just releases and leaves. A fanbase can only carry so much.

Her career not reaching the heights it could be is because of the visuals

I was shocked to see how it's doing in the US compared to Renaissance :suburban:

eh, in context, it's not that bad either. Midnights lost about 75% of its opening day streams within 3 weeks.

hype dies down. people check out other new music. Cowboy Carter is still expected to be #2 in the US with nearly 100k units in its third week, plus it was the most streamed album globally for two weeks in a row on Spotify. her streaming presence is already improving and these numbers already eclipsed Renaissance.

it really doesn't matter how people try to spin this -- Beyoncé is seeing new heights while every other artist admires her and wishes to have her longevity.

Lol I don't see her beating New Blue Sun, plus Taylor might be releasing her best album yet.

OT: everyone wants to support Beyonce but the material is always lacking in some way. I think she should try an album without the 5 part harmony behind every song all the time. I love II Most Wanted the most because it lacks the million layers of vocals that she seems addicted to.

Doesn't this always happen with Beyonce albums? People praise tf out of it the first couple weeks and then stop talking about it until she loses AOTY.
