It's more impressive for an artist to sell a shitload genuinely among the GP without even trying to cater to them than an artist who bases her entire career on coddling her fanbase to milk them dry every time she releases an album. 
 

Adele releases an album once every 4-5 years. She is not in it for the charts and achievements. She just makes music when she wants to and no, selling 800k+ first week with no variants (outside of the obvious format variants) is not unimpressive. 
 

You guys always feel the need to downplay Adele to build up Taylor and no one is falling for that.

25 debut week is colossal historical achievement, no one can take that away from Adele. 

But factually if you ask any artists/ normal people. They would surely choose doing 1m 1st week for 7 different albums than one big 3m 1st week and never reach 1m again. Like come on it`s just common sense, no one try to discredit Adele 3m week.
