JohnWayneHolland Posted April 22 Posted April 22 She used all the tricks in the book and still couldn't break Adele's record 1 3 1
itsjem Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Whatever number it will it's actually a nutty number in 2024... and the thing that makes it so much more impressing is that she has debuted with over 1M copies other SIX times (not counting TTPD) in a span of 14 years. So consistently high forever, it's so crazy 1
Popular Post itsjem Posted April 22 Popular Post Posted April 22 Uh-oh the asylum has opened its doors again with the people hiding behind 25 number The funniest thing to me is that everytime I read one of those comments I know they are dying inside 5 1 12 1
Popular Post wastedpotential Posted April 22 Popular Post Posted April 22 (edited) nnn it'll be so interesting to calculate how many debut weeks from other artists can be fit into this 2.3M+ figure, and how that stacks Taylor up against her peers. For instance, *TF/M+BTW+ARTPOP+Joanne+ASIB+Chromatica+Jazz mixtapes is what... a combined 2.4M? Wouldn't it be crazy if this album did more than that in one week? *EDIT: Just realized that for my example I counted The Fame and The Fame Monster as two separate debuts, and that's often not done in these kinds of chart conversations. If we remove TFM's debut from the tally (and really, since we combine them everywhere else, I think that's a numeric necessity), then Gaga's combined career debut figure is already in the 2.28M range. It's just so fascinating to me how that compares here with TTPD. Edited April 22 by wastedpotential 16

Ms. Togekiss Posted April 22 Posted April 22 I hope somehow she crosses 2M pure sales and becomes the second highest debut with SPS
Jude Posted April 22 Posted April 22 You must be out of your mind or just a lame troll to drag these numbers. 1

skizzo Posted April 22 Posted April 22 What a queen! I wonder if TS12 will even overtake it I actually believe Rep TV might become bigger than 1989 TV cause she just keeps making her fanbase larger and larger with each release

I wish whichever TV next, an ounce of luck.

I've seen too many comments saying TTPD is more "impressive" which it's not. 1 1 1

Taking breaks kills instead of building hype in the streaming age. If she announces a new album with a bright aesthetic after the eras tour is over, she might be able to repeak.
