How is that not cool? And then I fall asleep 1
byzantium Posted April 16 Posted April 16 I'm a 15 minute before the flight starts boarding type of guy. And then I read in the plane.

Lounge if I have enough time. Same. I always allow for a longer time just in case there are issues so I don't miss my flight(s). It's also nice to just chill and do my own thing because I got there early.
Hurem Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Depends on the airport. If I'm travelling from Croatia, I get there 40-60 minutes before the flight. Amsterdam can be messy, so I try to be there 1 hour and 30 min before take off. Stockholm Arlanda is the worst so I get there at least two hour before the flight.
jomarr Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Online booking and domestic, I'll be at the airport 45 mins to an hour before boarding time. International, 3 hours before. One time I was scheduled a domestic flight and had a job interview a few hours before it. I went to the interview and rode a ******* train to the airport. Idk what the hell I was thinking. I got to the airport 5 minues after the boarding gates opened. Thank god it was delayed a bit cuz girl. 2
ariananext Posted April 16 Posted April 16 If it's my airport then I leave house 2 hours before departure time and it takes 30-40 minutes to get there. If it's a return flight and I'm not familiar with the airport I try to get there earlier. I encountered some ***** ass people working at airports around Europe and they almost made me miss my flight for no reason. So I get there like 2.5h before the flight.
NoOneDiesFromLove Posted April 16 Posted April 16 3 hours before and I read before getting on the plane and just listen to music during the flight 1
leyaris11 Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Usually I came to the airport 6 hours before boarding and 3 hours before check-in. I like seeing airport scenario such as seeing people, eating, thinking and walk around the lobby, explore terminals and enjoy all the shops. Thread like this made me miss my travel days... I sit on two different plane and transfer airport for my trip, total 28 hours.

I always flight international and seeing all the people around the world gathering into one place is just chill and refreshing. I still remember how eager and excited I am at IAH and get ready for my flight because I'm about to see my family and then super sad and feeling lonely when traveling back to the U.S... I loved that I don't have to travel back and forth anymore and with that being said, I missed my traveling days. Edited April 16 by leyaris11 1
Cyanide Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Literally just landed. I arrive at LAX usually like an hour before boarding starts, which came in handy today because I went to the wrong terminal at first 1
insomniac Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Usually 1 hour for European flights, I try to book time slots for TSA when I can so that can go as smoothly as possible. 1.5-2 hours for intercontinental.
abelfenty Posted April 16 Posted April 16 (edited) Depends on the airport. If it's a bigger one like Heathrow for example then like 3 hours early. If it's a small one I go as late as possible. One time I sat in Milan Bergamo for over 3 hours because my friends were getting an earlier flight and I was flying somewhere else, and it was absolutely torture Edited April 16 by abelfenty
Kiss It Better Posted April 16 Posted April 16 usually 2-3 hours early BUT - if the flight is past 5pm i'll just assume it will get delayed like always so i'll arrive like 1-2 hours early instead - if the flight is super early (like before 9am) i will just arrive 1-2 hours early instead as well cause i still need to have my night sleep
KFC Posted April 16 Posted April 16 7 hours ago, Ya Ya said: I fly out of Atlanta so 2-3 hours. I had to connect through Atlanta a couple of months ago and what a horrid experience. I can't imagine actually having to catch a flight from there

Bacardo Royale Posted April 17 Posted April 17 Usually about 3 hours, I get lost often so I need time to familiarize myself with the airport
Genius1111 Posted May 8 Posted May 8 The last few times, I made it there like 10-15 mins before the check-in counter closes. Really cutting it too close at times.
