Diana Ross (AKA Ashlee Simpson's mother in law). Even Demi knows who she is.

Let's be real here it's michelle the music industry if Beyoncé used her celebrity towards politics like in the old days she would be the most famous period of any human. She leverages her celebrity only the music field so she isn't frequent in international news for everything like in America. I will say it's a bigger deal when Beyoncé visits Africa or China because of the volume of her influence over woman and the new generation but it's more so because she never comes out publicly. Not because of the status.

Oprah is a literal unknown to a majority of the world, her Harry and Megan interview is probably the main thing some people know her for :gaycat6:

Rihanna and Beyoncé are the most feasible answers. I'm giving the edge to Beyoncé because of her career length and currently being active.

Whoever is most known in China and India.

Possibly Rihanna because of her recent India performance.

Now that you mention her, the most famous black woman might actually be Meghan Markle.  The Royal Family transcends entertainment.

For  a brief (horrible) moment in time, it was Condoleezza Rice :toofunny2:

NO, her active years and peak would've been toppled EASILY by Whitney Houston.

Naomi Campbell may also be an option?

Actually yes, she has literally been on the cover of top magazines for almost every single major country in the world.

Lmao at Kamala Harris and Oprah being on this list. Yea babes, non-English speakers around the world definitely have heard about a TALK SHOW HOST and a VP that isn't really that relevant in her own country.

Instead of Oprah Whoopi Goldberg was more deserving. Everyone over 30 knows her. Sister Act and ghost 2 huge global classics everyone has seen.

And from the movie world Viola Davis too even if not like Whoopi at the moment.

Yeah. I am pretty sure Whoopi Goldberg is more famous among all generations than literally any of those. "Sister Act" is a classic movie that literally everyone has seen. Viola Davis has a lot of prestige but nothing she did has really been that mainstream, I'd say her biggest hit IN TERMS OF REACH is probably "How to get away with murder", but TV doesn't really have the same impact as movies.

As for young people, it's Rihanna and Beyoncé although, depending on the generation, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston and even Aretha Franklin would be more well-known worldwide. Naomi Campbell is also a fair option.

Oprah and Kamala are literally non-factors compared to any other.
