wigglytuffer Posted May 1 Posted May 1 Crossing 1M in the UK is such an achievement for any artist. So happy for her! RE the Tiktok ban, most of the videos i've seen anyway use the sped-up audios or fan-made ones, I hope it isn't too much of a problem to it but it feels bigger than just a tiktok sound at this point
Junho_lover Posted May 1 Posted May 1 Damn this is an ear worm. If her new album sounds like this then I'm sold !! 1
MatiRod Posted May 2 Posted May 2 (edited) This is a major smash. If I were her/her team/label, if they don't already have one ready to go, I would immediately start writing/recording an album with the same frothy, breezy, classy pop sound as "Feather" and "Espresso" for release no later than August/September. The next single is crucial, if it's also a smash then she's truly arrived as a MPG. If they want to be safe, big sample and big feature. I'd sample "Sugar, Sugar" by the Archies and call up Jack Harlow for a feature. "Candy Girl". I know industry ppl read this so take the free advice Island please!! This has potential to be a peak Katy sized era IMO. It's been a minute since a POP capital P girl has been giving this kind of light, girly, fun music with just the right amount of edge and that feels quintessentially American. All the signs are there for a real breakout moment. Edited May 2 by MatiRod 10

Has this song turned the "auto play" corner? Is it the impact of TikTok deleting the sound? Or did something else happen? Saw Dua's RO singles all dropped significantly. Anyways, she would have lost the top spot in the US to Kendrick no matter what (that 5 mil is crazy though curious if it's got replay value. Diss tracks can be hit or miss like that.) and with new music coming tonight she likely will not see that #1 spot again (for a while at least or at all if it doesn't bounce back with a remix). camilacabelloslaps Posted May 2 Posted May 2 My bf showed me this last night and it's been on repeat since, this is so ******* good. I liked a few songs on her last album, bad for business was my personal fave but this is easily my fave song by her
FLAallday Posted May 2 Posted May 2 This is soooo addicting and the video is basically my summer 2024 mood board. And that mug is STAMPED. 13 hours ago, MatiRod said: This is a major smash. A cute espresso/single #2 performance

Yeah a lot of songs saw massive drops. Taylor lost over a million as well. Weird but it'll probably fix itself in a day or two if it was the Kendrick Drop

Baltie Posted May 3 Posted May 3 And who would've known that years later she'd be singing "Move it up, down, left, right, oh, switch it up like Nintendo" like damn, our Nintendo girlie is winning

Gyal Posted May 3 Posted May 3 I enjoyed a few songs from her last project, but I love this song - super fun, you can't not bop
