Strawberry Bubble Posted April 7 Posted April 7 (edited) As we stand on the cusp of unprecedented economic and climate challenges, whether it's morally acceptable to bring children into today's world becomes increasingly complex. Just a reminder, this is NOT a personal attack on anyone: I simply encourage everyone to share their opinions. Every viewpoint is valid, and I'm glad if you are planning to have children or already have children. What do you think? Discuss and keep it cute! Edited April 7 by Strawberry Bubble
Popular Post Bonicap Posted April 7 Popular Post Posted April 7 (edited) World has never been better than it is right now. Look at the overall data on illiteracy, hunger, wars, deadly diseases or life expectancy. I don't understand the question. Edited April 7 by Bonicap 4 11

modern thing Posted April 7 Posted April 7 no and the fact that straight people still think they should get married and have children is the worst... especially since not only the world is not a good place but also young adults are clearly not equiped or stable (mentally or financially) to have children anyway 2 2 8
Popular Post tjspy Posted April 7 Popular Post Posted April 7 The world is better than ever. Despite that, its not that deep. You can bring a kid and teach her to see the world in good eyes, despite its problems. The world is just too amazing and vast to stay in a depressive bubble and spend too much thinking in things that are not actual issues. 18
beautiful player Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Yes. Not bringing in any children will turn out to be a catastrophe once the existing population grows old. 1
znake Posted April 7 Posted April 7 I hope we all human extinct and I'm glad our generation stop having kids 1 1
wastedpotential Posted April 7 Posted April 7 I don't even want to begin to unpack the thought of human reproduction (one of like three things we're biologically hard-wired to do as a species alongside literally staying alive and finding food) being immoral 6
Venice B Posted April 7 Posted April 7 No. If you want a children that much just adopt one, they're already in this world and they need care. 1 1
Shimenawa Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Not with all the private jets, rich people are evil and selfish 1
PerfectCure Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Weird question. It is and it will always be, unless a natural catastrophe happens. Overpopulation on the other hand is a different topic. 2
CoolNebraskaGuy Posted April 7 Posted April 7 (edited) It's only 'immoral' to have kids if you have no intention of taking care of them. The world has always been a daunting place, but MANY things are better now than they were before. Should people only have kids when there isn't war, climate change, or wealth inequality? Do y'all walk around and judge the parents of newborns all day? I certainly hope not lol. None of you baguettes would have been born if these were the standards. Edited April 7 by CoolNebraskaGuy 6 3
