This will probably be the only interesting aspect about the song/her solo venture because she's not really interesting as a performer, and her voice is kind of lackluster too. Ultimately, it'll depend on the material. 10

tbhmatt Posted April 7 Posted April 7 The music video description has got me a little nervous. Jade's biggest selling point is her charisma, her dancing.. she just sells being a pop star so if she's not front and centre of that music video… a real waste of a debut. She only gets *one* opportunity to introduce herself as a solo artist, I hope she doesn't waste it. All she needs to do is bring the bops and some heavy choreo and she'll capture the public's attention. I just don't see this "storyline" based video doing what she thinks it's going to do, but we'll see.. 2 1

I've heard through other forums that she's done a lot of promising work with Lostboy, we also know from her insta stories/posts that she's worked with Mike Sabbath, Tove Lo, MNEK so I remain optimistic! 1 1

Aren't you the same person who complained about Perrie working with Ed Sheeran and referring it to him being like working with Timbaland in 2024? When Ed has consistently been scoring hits for years. A. Whats one thing to do with the other ? 🤣 gurl , get it together and dont attack for no reason B. Ed hasn't scored a proper hit in YEARS but whatever you say C. I dont remember back then Jade being tired of recording and performing. And at the end of the day is my opinion , i didnt say anything negative, just that she could have had already 1 full era under her belt 1 1
tbhmatt Posted April 7 Posted April 7 That one user still being firmly camped in here negatively reacting to every single post as they come in, I'm sorry but I actually lowkey respect the commitment to being such a troll it could never be me though, but you do you boo! 3 1

Sometimes it comes down to timing. I agree that her time to release really should have come sooner, but what would the point if the music was terrible? Hopefully she's used this time wisely to curate some actual good music so the wait is worth it. 1
brraap Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Not that one Normani stan downvoting any jade praise comments… 8
Nashe Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Jade is THE one !!!!!!!! I've been saying that since the very beginnings of LM. She's got the popstar looks, the charisma, the talent, the personality!! I'm shocked it took her so long to finally release her solo stuff, but let me stay optimistic and trust her artistry! Perrie's lead single is also a mega pop bop. Hope both girls break through big time 2 1
Nashe Posted April 7 Posted April 7 @Ethereal Spoiler man, if you need someone to talk to, my PMs are open. I see what you're doing here, and probably in other places aswell, and it's not healthy for you at all. Trust me, I know. Life's way too short to waste your time spreading negativity on such unserious matters. Spring is outside in full bloom, take a walk, put your headphones on, it'll do you good. Cheers! 1 2

Yeah that make sense Just from another perspective there are so many factors that come down to success . There is a reason when they say strike while the iron is hot . All the hype is almost gone and not to mention the ageism... Anyways we will see

The possibility of mega chart success was slim anyways so she may as well use this opportunity to give us good, interesting & creative music and visuals. I can't wait to hear what she's been working on, just hope it actually does come "soon"
GardenPanty Posted April 7 Posted April 7 This song is a major bop and is easily the most interesting of all the LM members' comeback singles. It's a bit experimental though so idk if it will be a hit but the gays will definitely stan. 4 1
Zerby Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Perrie and Jade are the ones to watch from LM. If these two don't score a decent hit with their first era then LM reunion in a year or two

Can it be compared to anything else out there to get an idea of the vibes, sonically speaking? 1

Little Mix has released over 7 albums in London, so I'm not surprised they're attracting a meager 17.1 monthly listeners. and yet LM outsold Fifth Harmony entire career with one album. stand down and go listen to your failed attempt of turning Jason Derulo into 5 girls 1 1

I've heard a demo, but I'm not sure of anything I can compare the song to. The song is very pop though, it reminds me of Tove Lo. It starts off slow, like an 80s power ballad, but then it transitions into a pulsing synth bop. Lyrics are kinda cringe so I'm hoping they got reworked 3

I have no idea how reliable you are (ddd sorry) but this does kinda sound like what I expected a Jade song to sound like tbf. From the lyrical mastermind that brought us "I don't do what Simon says!” Im perched though, I hope she serves camp!
BadHabits Posted April 7 Posted April 7 1 hour ago, Ethereal said: And what impact did this have outside of London? The same London that isn't even willing to support their solo releases, so I'm not sure why she's blaming Simon Cowell, who was the reason they were at their peak; 95% of their hits came from Syco. They had plenty of impact outside of the city of London, in the rest of the UK and throughout Europe. 1 1
