I've already altered my expectactions to accomodate the info we know (sounds like 4 songs in one, single #2 being "the" hit attempt etc). In its best corners, the song sounds "cute" and interesting production wise. But in other corners, it actually sounds kinda jarring on the ear. The "I don't careeeee" part espectially. tbhmatt Posted July 9 Share Posted July 9 The use of the sample seems to be very clever and effective, subtle enough that it doesn't "cheapen" the song but familiar enough that people will probably find themselves instantly humming along when they first listen. I do hope she drops in to her lower register during the verses when the beat drops. I think the song needs that to add some contrast to her (very beautiful) head voice she's using in the chorus. It does indeed sound a bit "messy" from the snippets but I have to admit the chorus has been stuck in my head and I've been singing it all morning, so I fear she may be on to something here Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
