Parallel Posted April 7 Posted April 7 I just think it's funny that people were attributing Think Later's success to Greedy alone when both Tyla and Benson had TikTok smashes attached to their albums as well and didn't do nearly as good(Beautiful Things is bigger than Greedy too). Inch rest ting 1
M.R. Posted April 7 Posted April 7 I was hoping that VW would do 50k. Still the album is amazing and the big drop in sales is due to removal of tour bundles.
Green Posted April 7 Posted April 7 J. Cole is free falling on Spotify. Maybe Beyonce could snatch a second week at #1 after all 9
liquiddiamonds Posted April 7 Posted April 7 (edited) The Vampire Weekend decline was expected. It's been happening to every big band from their times. The fact they are still selling more than The Black Keys that at some point was two or three times bigger in popularity means they have a nice cult audience sticking with them. They sold vinyl variants in indie record stores, we will see if they will come through. It is embarrassing this Benson person has a current major hit and has barely beaten Conan Gray, whose every single has flopped to oblivion. He has a long way to establish himself beyond a new hearthrob for female listeners. Kudos for Conan for still dropping the album, because at some point I thought they would shelve it. Bryson's streams were abysmal in Spotify. AM must be doing the heavy lifting. Glo is doing great for a mixtape. Still think she should've hold on and dropped an album in summer Edited April 7 by liquiddiamonds

The sexualized image not too long after pushing sad music 2. Both have vocals that are unpleasant with the wrong production (Benson sounds horrible trying to rock out, Tate can't sell sex with her nasal voice)

Taylor fanboy Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Vampire Weekend has fallen off HARD. SAD! I hope Cowboy Carter blocks transphobia next week!

Renan90 Posted April 9 Posted April 9 TOP 20: COLE'S WORLD J. Cole's Might Delete Later (Cole World/Interscope) continues tracking to a #1 debut on Friday's HITS Top 50. Beyoncé's COWBOY CARTER (Parkwood/Columbia), which topped the chart last week with over 400k, will land in the runner-up spot but has tightened the gap since the weekend. J. Cole still gets the edge at midweek. TOMORROW X TOGETHER's minisode 3: TOMORROW (BIGHIT/Imperial/Republic) will open at #3. Night Street/Warner's Benson Boone and his Fireworks & Rollerblades are off to a strong start as the digital-only release is projecting to 47.5k in its first outing. Bryson Tiller's self-titled TrapSoul/RCA set may also take up first-week residence in the Top 10. Other likely Top 20 debuts are Republic's Conan Gray and CMG/Interscope's GloRilla. Now if you'll excuse us, we've got to finish planning our Coachella outfits. https://hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=340654&title=TOP-20%3A-COLES-WORLD

Lovett Posted April 9 Posted April 9 Hope Bey snatches a second week at #1! Also, when was the last time the top 10 didn't have a Taylor Swift album in it? 1
Ger Posted April 9 Posted April 9 Close race, Cole lowkey underperforming. 48k for Benson is really nice Disappointing figures for Bryson.

KORDEI Posted April 9 Posted April 9 if Jermaine's streams keep plummeting like they are, surely Bey could possibly close the gap at the end of the week?
Cruel Summer Posted April 9 Posted April 9 Wait Lover what are you doing on the floor, you just had to hold on like two more weeks eye-
