I have another question: Did the angry rednecks kill him because he was gay? The reason given by the show it's that it was an antisemitic attack (the character was also Jewish) 2 2

fridayteenage Posted April 6 Posted April 6 my first thought was "hmm, is this the Zionist agenda?' the creator of the show's tweets: The misuse of the words "genocide" and "colonize" has opened my eyes to how much of the world is dangerously anti-semantic. In a war between democracy and illiberalism, it's shocking how many liberals are using democracy to support illiberalism. For those of you claiming to condemn Israel solely because of concern for the civilian victims, I'm curious, how many civilian victims have there been in the Yemeni civil war (hundreds of thousands) (and how vocal have you been about that in the last ten years)? If you consider yourself a liberal, please don't carry a Palestinian flag in America unless you're prepared to carry a Pride flag in Palestine etc. So that explains that. 3
Tylerbv Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Honestly.. it's TV. Are we just supposed to pretend hate crimes don't happen? I also love how most of the angry comments are from women who fetishize gay relationships in media like Shameless, or pretend ones like in Supernatural or whatever. To top it all off, the hate crime was because he was Jewish, not because he was gay. Touch grass. 1
Fitzswiftie Posted April 6 Posted April 6 3 hours ago, Cheers said: They need to stfu. Are gays supposed to be killed off screen in movies and shows now? What dumb outrage. The bury your gay trope exists for a reason, most shows with a token queer are typically killed off. It's an issue because of little queer media representation there was until like 7 years. 2
Hitchhiker Posted April 6 Posted April 6 After the 3rd-4th season this show went to hell you can tell when a show tries too hard with representation it comes off as extremely cringey 1
Johnnyboi Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Isn't the show notoriously conservative? Surprised they had a gay character.
The Next Day Posted April 6 Posted April 6 (edited) Well, a gay jewish Trump voter isn't that stereotypical, so Idc they killed him as a character. They let POC die almost hero-like in the past, so it's not like they have a track record of ill intentions. Edited April 6 by The Next Day

Cardcaptor Sakura Posted April 7 Posted April 7 I remember only watched this show's first three seasons. I stopped watch after they killed Dr Melendez.
GotMyBlueprint Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Nobody should have to settle for NOah as their queer representation so why they mad? 1
Exodus Posted April 8 Posted April 8 I don't even like Asher but what was the point of that. It's a shortened, final season so killing a main character off 5 episodes from the end seems tacky and a last, ditch attempt for shock value. Like they already only have 2 original cast members lmao.
Into The Void Posted April 8 Posted April 8 I thought i saw the last episode maybe I didn't finish it
Cocetti Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Omg didnt know this show was still on, watched most of the first season way back but then totally forgot about it
