CécredSpaces Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Robbie, you're hot in the 2000s, so let me pretend you didn't say this. 3
SLUTTVFTV Posted April 6 Posted April 6 not ratty healy go stream the new chappell roan single robbie, maybe you'll change your mind! 1
Mordecai Posted April 6 Posted April 6 People are probably going to drag Robbie for this (and he kinda should be for the last part) but he is right. Streaming has made the industry boring (and this is a view expressed all the time on here) and the extent some people go to to try and attempt to cancel whatever artist they don't like borders on mental illness 12 4 4
Illuminati Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Well he's like 60 years old so I get the nostalgia for something different, if you want to upset and be risky you have to accept that it won't be for everyone's taste. Matty Healy seems like a poor choice though, I feel like he only does that stuff for headlines
Suilen Posted April 6 Posted April 6 So he's upsetting people for the sake of being upsetting? Nothing complicated about that. 2
getBusy Posted April 6 Posted April 6 (edited) There we go with the so called cancel culture again And i absolutely LOVE Robbie, but this is giving "ok grandpa let's get you to bed" Edited April 6 by getBusy 4 4 1
KFC Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Yawn, boomers are so OBSESSED with cancel culture but I can count the number of celebrities who have actually been cancelled on one hand Being held accountable for saying/doing problematic things isn't a new phenomenon, nor is it the cause of the industry being boring, that's the fault of streaming and the listening publics poor attention span, but of course this geriatric wants to blame being woke. Just say you want to make racist or misogynist jokes and call it a day 9 1 1
Princess Aurora Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Maybe he should do something about it instead of complaining, right? 2
ontherocks Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Your music has always been boring and predictable, you dimwit 4 1
Grizzo Posted April 6 Posted April 6 another has-been whining about the pseudo "cancel culture" as if anyone has really suffered from that… even Morgan Wallen has been thriving ever since his racist outburst 4 1
Marla Singer Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Complaining about cancel culture and people being easily offended are such red flags. And then of course he goes on to praise Matty Healy. 11
Digitalism Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Not this when he mostly made a bunch of basic ballads and call it an album 1

TitanicSurvivor Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Industry miss Legend X and it shows, Not Myself Tonight was the last bold release by an A++ list artist. I can't see artists nowadays handle a risk like Lady Chris did 2 3 1

A video from when he was a teenager surfaced where he said the N-word. That's all what happened. Dumb, but what he said as a teenager shouldn't be held against him. Especially when full blown adults like Jennifer Lopez and Eminem said the N-word with their chests puffed out in their songs. They should be getting backlash too. Where is Justin Bieber's? Dua Lipa's? Troye Sivan's? They all said it too, but they're successful as ever. Edited April 6 by CécredSpaces 2

That video was recorded in January 2021 4
Revolution Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Not after we got Eternal Sunshine, We Don't Trust You, Cowboy Carter and Only God Was Above Us in less than a month. 1
Polgg48 Posted April 6 Posted April 6 kylie dances and shows herself an energetic aura than almost everyone in the scene should tell everyone her former collab is correct.

Literally Made me lose respect in so many people that complain about this You just know that so many of these celebs have been super problematic openly in the past 2
ABeyBraith Posted April 6 Posted April 6 As if he has room to talk. Every single one of his songs is beige, boring radio fodder. Nothing new or interesting 5
Graves Posted April 6 Posted April 6 I can't. I'm sure that the music that Robbie listens to is probably boring - mainstream white guys doing rock and pop. Yikes! But maybe if he expanded his horizons beyond the charts and beyond the insular bubble that he finds himself in, he might find that there's more exciting and varied music at his fingertips than ever before. He won't, though. He's just complaining for the sake of complaining. Old person stuff. 5 1
