Arthoe Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Miley has been an international superstar for almost 20 years, none of Selena's early songs aren't even REMOTELY remembered unless you're a Disney adult. 3
Sad Serenade Posted April 6 Posted April 6 the OP is definitely trolling: Miley has some of the biggest hits of an ex-act during her disney days, Selena has some memorable hits too like LYLALS and Who Says (both pulling great daily streams without any gimmick or push), the demi's sneak is cute. 7 Things needs to be mentioned here, it was a bop and a classic break up song specially for that Nick J. relationship. I'm pretty sure it was a Top 10 hit too. Love You Like A Love Song and Who Says are still beloved the first one is about to hit 1B streams and goes often viral. Who Says and >Hit The Lights are both anthem they're really underrated. 1
Blue Monday Posted April 6 Posted April 6 (edited) What is it with this site and trying to inflate Selana's importance/impact on popular music/pop culture The Climb alone is more remembered than anything Selena has dropped Edited April 6 by Blue Monday
Gladiator Posted April 6 Posted April 6 You might have missed the reveal, but Hannah Montana is also Miley.
Erreur2 La Nature Posted April 6 Posted April 6 They certainly aren't more remembered than Miley's. PITUSA alone >>>>
goverm3nth0ker Posted April 6 Author Posted April 6 im not trolling lol and how could this be a selena set up? selena and miley are on the same level they have been flopping for years, had a cute hit last year (flowers and calm down) and right now they are flopping again milena is not that iconic lol 1 3
Freakshowvato Posted April 6 Posted April 6 First of all, those Demi songs listed are not from Disney. Heart Attack was the same era as Come & Get It and We Can't Stop. Demi's Disney songs are This Is Me, Don't Forget, La La Land, Get Back, Here We Go Again, Remember December. Demi was only on Disney for 2008-2010 so her time there was short lived and her biggest songs came post-Disney, starting with Skyscraper. Selena was still with The Scene when Demi released Skyscraper and Give Your Heart A Break. However, I do think Miley has the biggest discography associated with Disney. 1
brraap Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Quality over quantity girl. The day Selena or Demi can release a The Climb or Flowers, then I'll see 1
Freakshowvato Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Also out of Selena's entire discography (Disney and post-Disney), Love You Like A Love Song might be her only memorable song in my book.

And they're not on the same level. Single Soon (marketed as Selena's comeback/lead single) and Used To Be Young were released at the same time and only one went top 10. Hell, Single Soon almost missed the Top 20 lol! Edited April 6 by Jooj

Movimento Perpétuo Posted April 6 Posted April 6 I like Selena's music but none of her The Scene 'hits' together are more remembered than Party in the USA alone bfr

Miley is the moment now, she has been since Flowers and Grammy gave it a 2nd wind. Selena is disliked atm and releasing questionable music and its easy to see that it can change anytime for her if u…. Just look at last year. Catalog songs can be heavily impacted by recent events, that's true, but thankfully we have overall streams available to show us the full picture beyond recent patterns. Selena is also behind Miley on that metric. The ifs and buts to justify Selena's current numbers are cute, but Miley has the most remembered hits out of the Disney bunch and that is backed by factual data. Period. Edited April 6 by Scars
The7thStranger Posted April 6 Posted April 6 As a data point from somebody who was far too old to care much about Disney acts by that age, the only Selena song listed above that I recognize here is Love You Like a Love Song. From my point of view, Miley's music has far surpassed Selena's in terms of both popularity and longevity.
AccioMiley Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Somebody needs to do a live on the streets video talking to people about who has more disney bops because this discourse needs to end lmao. Anyway. Miley clears with party in the usa alone. Nobody aint noddin their head like yeah Movin their hips like yeah to....love you like a love song. Which is one of the most annoying selena and the scene songs. People just found her more "palatable" than miley back then because selena was tame af. Now she's just a *****

Either way, only Don't Forget and Here We Go Again are truly considered Disney eras. If we're talking about Hollywood Records songs, then we'd include Heart Attack, Skyscraper, Give Your Heart a Break, Really Don't Care, Neon Lights, etc.
Miley Cyrus Posted April 7 Posted April 7 23 hours ago, unclefloprry said: Love You Like a Love Song is bigger and better than Miley's discography btw Maybe for 12 year olds. OT: 7 Things, See You Again, PITUSA, The Climb are bigger than the songs in the OP Even some Hannah songs are bigger than these
corotinho Posted April 9 Posted April 9 I don't think LYLALS is more remebered than PITUSA. If you look at current stats, it's clear that: 1. Party In The USA 2. Love You Like A Love Song Anyway, both are two and the only classics produced by the disney acts while they were on Disney. Both are huge with GP.
