So it just so happened that all of the dates that were cancelled due to "low ticket sales" were the last 7 shows scheduled on the tour?

they cut the ending of the tour because they overshot in thinking how much she could sell as Variety and HDD both stated.

The audacity to compare Madonna to JLo

That's been the rumor I've seen. But according to Billboard, it was "routing" issues.

I believe the low ticket sales tbh. I don't see J. Lo being strong in the South where its predominately Black market, but she was able to keep Florida and add a second Miami to replace the lost Tampa date due to heavier Hispanic demo in the state.

Jennifer hasn't been relevant in music since 2005, when she was mid-30s. That same year Madonna was 46 dominating with Confessions, so.

It's definitely not forced hate. She has a lot of unpleasant moments and very uninspired music. She set herself up coming back after 10 years with an ambitious concept but the same very flaccid sound.

I didn't compare them as artists at all. I compared them as women over 50 in the entertainment industry so they are in fact comparable. Even when Madonna was still slaying and selling out stadiums at that age the press were awful to her and treated her like she should stop and go into a retirement home. Like, yeah... J Lo flopped, what's the big deal? The fact that certain press outlets are so fixated on it is clearly forced.

Not a lot of thinking going on in this thread! They're too busy salivating over the thought of a 54 year old woman flopping.

Meanwhile, Billboard, a REPUTABLE source, confirmed that the dates were cancelled due to ROUTING ISSUES and that NEW DATES have been booked and will be announced soon. Which, there were already ramblings of in the tour thread that she had dates booked in the UK and Australia.

But yes, let's believe Variety, who has been publishing numerous negative articles about her as part of a painfully obvious hate campaign.

Not in the business of clowning artists that work hard. Respect to her for funding that film and still wanting to play live for people . I don't use her but I hope something works out and she takes some time to re-sharpen her sound and place in pop should she desire to continue.

It's baffling to me that a publication like Variety is wasting data making this joke of an article? Did it really need one?

I think it's funny.

How do you announce a tour for a project that bombed in every possible metric? Especially when you are a dying artist? Who thought this was a good idea?

Dear Jen, just name it Greatest Hits if you want to sell tickets. No one's gonna bother reading the entirety of that long ass name to find out which songs you're gonna do.

She actually will do better now that it's a greatest hits tour and additionally she can do very well even more if she added pitbull there too.

ppl are in here running laughing at her but she remains booked and busy, married a hot man, and is wealthy to the ends of earth.
