People forget Lemonade came out so long ago there was enough time for an entirely new generation of music listeners to go to and literally graduate undergrad and get a Masters lol. She skipped a generation of listeners kinda and she won them back with RENAISSANCE. It was literally her introduction to a new generation of listeners and this will get her in their graces too. act iii.... HOLY COW it's not like she stopped releasing music after lemonade she released two albums (3 if you count homecoming) and a handful of features
satellites.™ Posted March 30 Author Posted March 30 2 Hands 2 Heaven into Tyrant cannot be topped, that transition feels like a MOMENT and I know that film is SICK. 1
chaklux Posted March 30 Posted March 30 The numbers for the other ladies on the list , are they all filtered too? When will we know Bey's unfiltered stream? And if it's greater than 80M , will that be the official number on the list , hence she has surpassed folklore?

Perfect Duet was a smash. Mi Gente was a smash. 7/11 pre dated Tik Tok and literally became the entire premise for the app. HOMECOMING became the most viewed live performance in history. The Gift is not a studio album and neither is The Carters album, those did not come with studio backing/marketing.

Adults yes, I am specifically talking about Spotify ages audiences, girls whose first fave is like Olivia, Billie, etc. They are JUST really knowing Beyonce, I know this because my 24 year old co-worker who is a massive Swifitie literally told me she just started learning about Beyonce and only knew of the namesake, not the music. She knew Beyonce was "a legend" but didnt really get why, this MUSIC is doing it's job.

Before Renaissance there hadn't been a big Beyonce solo moment since Lemonade. It's that simple. I think to say people didn't know who she was is a stretch, but they hadn't experienced one of her huge releases that has the whole world talking.

Popular Post Cruel Summer Posted March 30 Popular Post Posted March 30 TUN was a high water mark that until now, only one woman had passed in the last five years. I think it's a bigger achievement than many people are acknowledging for Beyoncé to be the second woman to pass that mark and to do it with a country record rather than a "typical" Beyoncé record. This speaks to her status and building up her legacy and reaching younger demographics with Renaissance and its tour, but even more it speaks volumes about this album's incredible quality. It's good enough that it feels natural and right for this to cross the TUN threshold. It will be interesting to see the unfiltered numbers and how this holds for its first week. 21 2
