Damita Jo 20th anniversary - What are your favorite songs?

Sexhibition is that bop. Throw in R&B Junkie, Island Life, All Nite, SloLove, the filth suite of Moist and Warmth... Just A Little While...

What an album. What a woman. :jonny:

Thanks for your responses :clap3:

After the first three mentioned in the OP, I'd rank Truly (such an underrated song), Sexhibition, All Nite and Like You Don't Love Me as my next favorites.

As an album, it's definitely in my Janet top 3. I do have to be in the mood for TVR and I've played Rhythm Nation out, I'd probably rank this one third. Damita Jo has never lost its repeat value.

I'm happy to give this album it's flowers every chance I get!

#Justice4DamitaHo! :gaynetcat4:

My absolute favorite Janet LP; hands down.

Choosing a top 5 is like choosing between air or water, but from immediate impulse:

Like You Don't Love Me

Truly

All Nite (Don't Stop)

SloLove

I Want You

Zero skips. ZERO.

This was an absolutely wild time to be a fan. So much sexist and racist hate was piled on her from every direction. This album, however, is among her best. I hope it gets its flowers one day.

My top 5:

1. All Nite (Don't Stop) - The production is so dense on headphones. Integrating a samba beat was brilliant.

2. R&B Junkie

3. Island Life

4. SloLove

5. Moist

So hard to choose.
