Kiss It Better Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Witness CTTR -> Witness/Pendulum/Roulette/Deja Vu/Tsunami (feat. Rihanna) so many choices Liberation Accelerate -> Like I Do (followed by Right Moves feat. Rihanna -> Pipe -> Unless It's With You, a successful comeback!) Lover ME! -> I Think He Knows (Paper Rings while it's miles better than ME! would still get trashed lbr)
alexrex Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Lady Gaga - Joanne and Chromatica Britney - Femme Fatale and Glory Taylor- Every album
Aristede Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Stupid Love was the wrong choice. I thought she should've changed lead singles when it leaked so far in advance. Everybody who wanted to hear it would've been listening to it for weeks and would've been sick of it long before the release date came.
ithinkheknowsoutsold Posted March 25 Posted March 25 For Kylie: Impossible Princess: Lead should've been Too Far, Cowboy Style, or Limbo instead of Some Kind of Bliss X: Lead should've been Like a Drug or In My Arms instead of 2 Hearts Disco: Lead should've been Supernova or Real Groove (Dua Lipa remix) instead of Say Something
blown away Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Stupid Love, when Alice was right there. Give Me All Your Luvin, when Girl Gone Wild was right there 2 Hearts when In My Arms was right there.
Erreur2 La Nature Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Accelerate Just Dance Applause Perfect Illusion Stupid Love
LikeaRebel Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Girl Gone Wild should've been the lead single from MDNA instead of GMAYL.
Hiphopper Posted March 25 Posted March 25 P!nk Try >> Blow Me Trustfall >> Never Gonna Not Dance Again
hungrymuffin Posted March 25 Posted March 25 nothing can be more wrong than releasing ME! as the lead 3
Oktober Knight Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Madonna - Gimme All Your Luvin. Girl Gone Wild and Masterpiece were right there.

Easily the weakest track off "eternal sunshine" in my opinion and it was quite a divisive lead that gave a poor first impression. I believe "we can't be friends (wait for your love)" with that incredible music video would have been the ideal way to introduce the era. And if Ariana wanted to lean into the controversy, "the boy is mine" and "true story" would have been much stronger picks.

Despite Love On Top being the fourth single, it has more spotify streams than many 2011 smashes like Born This Way and Sexy and I know It etc. I legit cane here to say this! Thematically LOT would have been perfect but personally I would have selected EOT. 1

Run The World has no business being on that masterpiece of an album. Anyway I agree with what you said but nobody really talks about 4 so I had to say something. Edited March 26 by Gladiator
BoDaToe Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Stronger should've been the lead from Stronger and Mr. Know It All never should've been on the album let alone the reason for it being delayed. Dance With Me should've been the lead from Piece by Piece w the title track as second single. The Jimmy Eats World rip off and Invincible shouldn't exist. chemistry should've been roses/favorite kind of high. high road, rock hudson, I hate love, red flag collector all would've been better choices. mine and me were cute album tracks but not lead singles material. They also should've been lower on the track list or on the deluxe in favor of roses and I won't give up. Denim & Rhinestones should've been the lead and she should've never recorded Flop Story. Sparks should've never been recorded. My Kind and Breathe In. Breathe Out. would be better choices. Man was a terrible single choice from good to know by JoJo. Kiss, What U Need and In Your Room all would've been better choices. So many single worthy tracks on the deluxe but the standard album really has no clear lead. Worst (I Assume) was also not a great lead. Spiral SZN would've introduced that project better and it's more catchy. A-Yo should've been the lead. It was a better indication of the album and isn't a sleepy ballad like MR. Also think Babylon would've made a better lead than SL. Leona Lewis should've kept We Found Love for the lead of Glassheart instead of Trouble. Trouble wasn't a bad song but it felt out of place on that album and felt like more of the same when the album was very different for her. Cruel Summer 1000% should've been the lead from Lover. Me! was such a jarring choice. Nothing about it felt like a hit despite her creating it specifically to be one. YNTCD felt very corny and insincere as an LGBT. As a fan since Tim McGraw, Lover was the first time I wasn't excited for a Taylor or buy on release. All the pre release tracks were lack luster and did nothing to build my excitement. Cruel Summer was exactly what I had expected and was the only song I really loved on my first listen of the album. Anyone saying it's only a hit because of the tour and it would've flopped back in 2019 is delusional. CS as lead would've saved the era.

Nothing could've helped PXP Rock Hudson Kind of represents the Album better than any other choice. Red Flag Collector or I Hate Love would've given Off a total different vibe. Everyone would be Like "It's Not a Country Album" or "Please No Country" and never Check the Album Out at all.
