Why did P!nk wash Timberlake?

P!nk had some hits in the USA BUT her main power is in Europe&AU. Even though Trustfall and the singles flopped there, in Europe the Trustfall single was one of the most played songs in the radio same as NGNDA and also thanks to her huge radio support here the album is also pulling great numbers. Ari is kinda the same, her US streaming is not that strong but outside US she's doing great and radios play her song. Just to mention Taylor a bit, she has the US support, UK, AU but the other European countries, mostly the Eastern or Central part they don't really play her.

It's absolutely not true.

P!nk is second only to Beyonce amongst their peers. Why? Because of talent.

I doubt half of the people commenting have even heard either of these albums so some of these replies are invalid (until both albums are listened to :-*)

Why do Justin fans not check receipts before posting. First it was Beyonce's biggest eras flopping compared to FS/LS (when Beyonce has 2 solo eras with more units and way more units moved throughout her career) and now this.

Pink CSPC 2002-2013 albums

Try This - 4m

I'm not dead - 11.2m

Funhouse - 14.2m

TTAL - 12.75m

Total: 42.75m

Justin CSPC 2002-2013 albums

Justified -12.5m

FS/LS - 16.9m

20/20 Part 1 - 7.8m

20/20 Part 2 - 3m

Total: 40.2m

Do you know Beyonce's sales?

Pink is just more talented, overall. Even though I feel like she's been phoning it in for a while, she is an artist, a songwriter, a performer through-and-through :clap3:I miss old Pink: R&B, pop 2000s era

Justin Timberlake is a fad, and a critically panned flop.

P!nk is a pop icon with a established fanbase and hit singles spanning two decades. Put some respect on her name

I don't pay attention to sales and streams. It's nerd behavior. I just play the music. I didn't even know pink released something new. Justin's album is amazing. I can tell you are listening to it too. Your attitude is a lil negative and angry for waking up on a Sunday morning mad at Mr Timberlake which is comical. Ma'am it's 7 am and THESE are your first thoughts and actions of the day? lol

Pink didn't wash just JT, but all her peers when it came to global hits and global album sales in the 00s and 10s, especially outside the US. It wasn't until 2020 that Beyoncé started doing much better. Shakira had a few hits here and there because of features but her albums tanked. Britney, JLo, Xtina, etc couldn't make it past 2007. JT had great success though. Just kinda local.

Everyone was calling miss Alazy Beth Moore a flop and that her album "Trustfall" bombed and that songs flopped.

Which, they did but I see Trustfall song has almost 250M streams on Spotify, not so bad for a flop?

Also her album Trustfall has better stats than JT one, how did miss Alecia wash JT?

The only artist from her peers that P!nk did not outlast is only Beyonce, why?

Justin's album is out a week.

CSPC are not sales or units. Its a random chartmasters formula that means nothing.

Beyonce still sold way more singles, has way more streams and her albums have much better charting longevity. Objectively, IASF and Dangerously in Love are bigger than FS/LS and much more remembered.

Outside of the US Pink is bigger in some European countries and Oceania but Beyonce is bigger in Asia, Brazil, UK etc. Beyonce was always bigger globally on many metrics like Single Sales, Spotify, Youtube etc.

Pink is bigger in Europe, Oceania, Canada while Beyonce is bigger in LATAM, Asia and slightly bigger in the US. And no she isn't bigger in the UK. Pink sold 3 million more albums and has more hits. 80% of album sales (pre-streaming) came from North America and Europe. Beyoncé has more units because her recurrent streams are much better than P!nk. Pink had better album sales and hits. Beyonce didn't really get any big hits after IASF while Pink was getting bigger and bigger hits every era until TTAL. There's a big difference If we look at their album sales globally

2002-2003

Missundazstood- 12.4 million (6.5 million domestically)

DIL- 10.1 million (5.55 million domestically)

Try This- 2.8 million (700k domestically)

2006-

Im Not Dead- 6.46 million (1.9 million domestically)

Bday- 6.40 million (3.8 million domestically)

2008-

IASF- 7.5 million (3.2 million domestically)

Funhouse- 6.9 million (2.2 million domestically)

2010-2011

Greatest Hits- 5 million (1.7 million domestically)

4- 3.21 million (1.6 million domestically)

2012-2013

TTAL- 5.7 million (2.2 million domestically)

Self Titled- 3.8 million (2.4 million domestically)

2016-2017

Lemonade- 3 million (2 million domestically)

BT- 2.6 million (1.1 million domestically)

then the streaming era fully takes over and Beyoncé started doing much better. Though H2BH did better than the gift. Even Trustfall did better than Renaissance in markets like GSA and Oceania.

Beyonce is bigger in the UK - she has more certified units. Beyonce is at 33 million units in the UK while Pink is at 24.9 million. You cant just exclude streaming when it has been a major form of consumption for years and one of the main hallmarks of a hit since the 2010s.

The Gift was a soundtrack and not a Beyonce studio album so that is an unfair comparison with a Pink studio album. Some of the Beyonce physical sales numbers are also outdated.

Song and album units are not equal. 1 album equals 1500 song streams or 10 downloads. Pink has sold 3.2 million more albums and more cd singles/downloads for her singles, while Beyoncé has better album track and single streams. Those are not equal at all.  In fact even Trustfall and a Renaissance have very similar units in the UK and one is considered a flop.

Of course streams and sales aren't equal, but when we calculate their units using equivalent album streams/digital sales Beyonce comes on top. For renaissance and trustfall they have similar physical sales but Beyonce's streaming power puts her ahead. This is the streaming era after all so streams should be considered in the calculation and streaming is the biggest sign of a hit currently.

Renaissance's hits have much more units in UK than Trustfall:

BMS - Platinum (600k)

Cuff It - Platinum (600k)

Trustfall - Gold (400k)

Never not gonna dance - Silver (200k)

They don't have similar pure sales? Renaissance is probably around 40k while Trustfall is around 100k. Plus song units are already added into the album just slightly downgraded.
