ALA Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Yeah that's good for Olivia. If vinyls were ready she'd probably do close to 100k. 3
State of Grace. Posted March 23 Posted March 23 (edited) Good numbers for all 3 releases tbh. Godzier better snatch that Top 15 debut with this excellent vault tracks EP. Curious about Eternal Sunshine's numbers. Positions did 75k in its 3rd week and this one is stomping it so it should be #2? Edited March 23 by State of Grace. 1

Meh. 8k units per track isnt amazing. Its okay Guts did 12.5k units per track first week from streaming alone. And the 8k here includes pure sales (apparently no vinyl?) and a boost to the other 12 tracks 5
fridayteenage Posted March 23 Posted March 23 I wonder how many streams Hozier will get; his whole album last year had under 30 million for debut week, but on Spotify day 1 the EP got almost 7 mil.
GoodGuyGoneGhetto Posted March 23 Posted March 23 (edited) Future will score his 8th BB200 #1 album with this release and will easily score his 9th when he drops later in the year. I feel as though he is one of the more impactful and influential yet, somehow, underrated Hip-Hop stars of the 21st century. He's also definitely known globally but the numbers don't seem to reflect that compared to North America. Strange. Edited March 23 by GoodGuyGoneGhetto

And the 8k here includes pure sales (apparently no vinyl?) and a boost to the other 12 tracks why are you comparing five extra tracks, with four that were already out there since september, with the first week sales of a long-awaited album? It makes no sense. These songs would never boost GUTS to the streaming peak of its first week. Also "ok" is when the average can pull this out. As far as I'm concerned only Taylor has seen similar boosts from adding extra tracks. Dua had a the longer Moonlight Edition for Future Nostalgia and it only did 32k (although it did return to the top 10 too). Edited March 23 by liquiddiamonds 5
chosensparkles Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Olivia has no physicals (vinyls) to boost the pure sales this time tbh but she'll have her time, should push the album closer to 2x Platinum by mid 2024
imabadkid Posted March 23 Posted March 23 The New Metro Boomin' album is rly good tbh I really liked Olivia last era, her album was one of my most played for that year but this era... idk. I feel like she needs to mature her image a bit? And that's not shade but I feel like I aged out of her music tbh but to be fair I'm not necessarily sure I'm her target demo.

Strange. it's weird because Future is just as mainstream as Drake but I feel like Drake gets the props as being the biggest artist in the world (after T. Swift)... he's often left out of the conversation which is weird.

Future. has 8 #1 albums which shows he has a solid fanbase but he has also put out a lot of content in a short period of time to have 8 #1 albums. His biggest album is 3x platinum far from Drake's peak and his diamond song is with Drake...most of his singles are not even half way to diamond. i get Drake is hated here but to say Future is just as mainstream as Drake...not really but he's a huge consistent hip hop superstar which is admirable. 1

DemDam92 Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Shakira Queen of Wasted Opportunities. Like girl wtf you had a chance for #1 album last year with TQG and 53 Session. The new tracks don't provide the huge streams she would need. 1
Feanor Posted March 24 Posted March 24 The charts have been incredibly competitive and stacked lately.
