The point was never that Shakira gave her a hit. My point is that both Shakira and Karol are successful and powerful. They both have hits bigger than their collab and neither did charity to the other. They both carried. That is the only version of reality that matches the actual numbers, seeing as both Karol and Shakira are sitting pretty in the year-end top 10 for female artists on both Spotify and Billboard Global; the only two Latinas on both lists of course. And Shakira did it without an album and with most of her hits being pre-streaming era releases. It's true that Karol placed higher, but throughout this back-and-forth I still have no idea what you think that even means or proves considering Shakira is a 47-year old artist on the 34th year of her career trailing RIGHT behind Karol who is THE biggest female in Latin music.
