Punteria is the only song from her new album that charted… thats quite a big flop. I thought it would be a big success on Spotify. But yeah I guess she waited a little bit too long.

because shes a legacy act, she wasnt doing big numbers (te felicito debuted like 1.1 million i think) until the relationship drama and that isnt going to last forever plus she caught bizarrap after he had a huge hit and karol is obviously massive now

This is still good for a 90s act and a few songs already released. Shakira probably did just under 10m for album debut given she's #15 on Artist Charts. Other spotify debuts by artists who debuted late 90s/early 00s:

 

Beyonce - 43.25 million (2022)

Usher - 6.7m (2024)

Justin Timberlake - 5.94m (2024)

Pink - 4.9m (2023)

Jlo - 1.07m (2024)

 

 

Only Beyonce is outdoing her in recent years.

karol g and bizarrap are huge and both songs had hype and went viral thanks to the relationship drama
