No need to sugarcoat it — altho the album is decent it's headliner song is a flop. Cardi lowkey crooning like some Spanish Tony Bennet? Fcuk that. I want her to rap — and show wap. Show her edge which is what got her where she is. Instead Cardi was just cosplaying Shakira.

How did her previous album perform? Is this really bad for her?

 

Well, tbh Shakira has only been relevant to Latin community for a long time. One or Two top 10 debut in the US clearly couldn't change that.

Is a cute bop but seriously thought the same thing, I thought they were at least going to be dancing, showing more skin and looks.

He got his first top 10s in the US and highest charting in many other countries, same as Karol G.

The album should have come out when Acróstico dropped with it as the album release single. She wasted the momentum she had built up to that point with too long of a wait, and songs that were not strong enough to keep it going such as Copa Vacía.

 

That being said, it could be worse. The 2nd day drop is not as bad as it could have been, and the album has a lot of streams from all the hit singles already so i guess she'll be fine

The problem is that those legs are tired because they've been running since early 2023 it's not like it's an album full of potential, half of it was already released last year and had their share of impact and listeners and now the GP is burnout of those songs and the new ones ain't it.

TGQ is Karol's 4th biggest song on Spotify, Te Felicito is Rauw's 4th biggest as well, the Bzrp collab became his 2nd most streamed ever. Even Monotonía, which wasn't even that big, is currently Ozuna's second highest song in daily Spotify streams. Not to mention Acróstico was bigger than some of her collabs. 

 

The Latin music world is generally collaborative and most of those artists vacillate between hits and flops. Her collaborations take nothing away from Shakira

Tqg was a hit because of Shakira according to you. Where are her numbers? And Karol G debuted during the streaming era. Shakira has been around since early 90.

 

Back up your claims if Shakira gave Karol G a hit then her album should have debuted with bigger numbers than Mañana Sera Bonito no?
