Miles. Posted April 5 Posted April 5 I'm so proud and impressed with this! I had extremely high expectations after In The Stars, Beautiful Things, and Slow It Down, and he absolutely delivered. SO happy that almost everything is 3+ minutes; he may have blown up on Tik Tok but he's proved he's an actual artist who cares about his work and not one of those robotic algorithm chasers. Cry, My Greatest Fear, There She Goes, Hello Love, Friend, and What Do You Want are all excellent. This is probably my favorite album since Stick Season I love the "build-up/switch-up" thing he does, but also looking forward to something different next time. He could lean more pop, or he could lean more alternative. Either way I'm rooting for him and excited to see what he does next! 2 1
Yog Posted April 6 Posted April 6 9 hours ago, OrgVisual said: It's an enjoyable standard pop-rock/AC album but can feel incredibly dull. This comment really just reminded me Benson is really just watered down male version of Olivia Rodrigo, in fact people are making comparisons to the only good song on this album, "Cry" that does remind you of Vampire a bit 1
GreatestLoveofAll Posted April 6 Posted April 6 i wanna listen to this cause im in the mood but his voice is not exactly my tea. 2
Mr. Duff Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Damn the album is so good! Drunk in my Mind, Forever and a Day, Hello Love, What Do You Want and Be Someone are the instant ones so far. Of course all the pre-release ones are all outstanding - Slow It Down hopefully can be a single! Such an earworm of a song. Cry is great too but it's a bit similar to Beautiful Things so I hope he send SID as it's something different. Well done Benson, I love this album so much! 1
seancarter Posted April 6 Posted April 6 wow the album really flopped on spotify.. none of the album tracks even charted in the US ?
cruelhprince Posted April 6 Posted April 6 he's a good singer but this album was underwhelming, he has the potential my standouts are Cry and In The Stars
AlfonsoVM Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Beautiful Things, Slow It Down, Cry and What Do You Want, bops
Fleahive Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Whew just got around to listening to this y'all are some delusional haters and this is coming from someone who only liked In the Stars and didn't care for his other singles. The first half of the album is incredible and the last half is good as well especially the last 2 songs. He wasn't screaming nor was his voice agitating in the slightest? Beautiful Things is the loudest he got. He is the ONLY modern pop boy that can BELT I heard some Adele notes in some of those songs. If he was a woman this would be 40 pages long but as usual gay men don't like to see straight men succeed. good job Benson. Runner up for Album of the Year! 3 1 1

Hope he can get another hit and cement himself as a legitimate pop star in it for the long run!

Runner up for Album of the Year! all the songs sound nearly the same and its a snoozefest. He's a one trick pony for now. I need innovation, creativity and variety in the songs whilst being a cohesive body of work.

Hunter_13 Posted June 14 Posted June 14 They've put up quite a few vinyl variants up for sale today. Ship July 26th
Acuminatus Posted June 14 Posted June 14 (edited) I love powerful vocalists but I go back and forth as to whether or not I like his voice. But he can definitely sing and I'm glad someone like him with a pop/rock album is doing moderately well in the charts. Edited June 14 by Acuminatus
Gossip_Boy Posted June 14 Author Posted June 14 The UK store has the firework splatter one which is also my favourite one of the bunch I think (also the cheapest to get as I won't have to import from the US kii), so I think so I'll probably be getting that https://eurostore.warnermusic.com/gb/music-store/artists/benson-boone/fireworks-and-rollerblades---store-exclusive-firework-splatter-vinyl/0093624842217.html
Hunter_13 Posted June 14 Posted June 14 Snatched the splattered vinyl and barnes & noble ruby variant. Might get the spotify fans one too if it doesn't sell out before next week.
Dark Phoenix Posted September 14 Posted September 14 So I've been hearing Beautiful Things on the radio for weeks to the point I was sick of the song, I've heard his name and thought that he was another white country guy like Blake Shelton, Morgan Wallen but then someone reposted some pics of him and he looked hot and young? So I went to see his Spotify page and he's more like an alt-soft rock guy and not a country one, I will give a listen to the album and keep tabs on him, hopefully he evolves into a male LDR or tries different sounds like Harry Styles or Billie as his career evolves I just don't want him to become generic or bland like Imagine Dragons is.
