Delirious Posted March 20 Posted March 20 (edited) I wanna hear the side of the story from everyone in the video to see if it was banter or not. Currently it doesn't look like banter because of the words the bully said + recording for no reason other than to intimidate or make fun of him for everyone to see Edited March 20 by Delirious

teenager Posted March 20 Posted March 20 (edited) y'all don't understand british humour and it shows - it's a joke, but of course people are using this to fuel their islamophobia! Edited March 20 by teenager 6 1 8
dlwlrma Posted March 20 Posted March 20 "its a joke" just because they are laughing doesn't mean it's not an intimidation 6 2 1
SapphireSky Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Of course everyone here would be defending intimidation 10 1 2
ThomasTea Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Very strange behaviour, religion shouldn't be brought into a workplace or a public area at all to be honest… church and state and all that. 4 1
mercurialworld Posted March 20 Posted March 20 (edited) Threads like this to vilify muslims during Ramadan are weird as hell. There are times to rightfully criticize religion, a video of a bunch of dudes joking around is not one of them. EDIT: Oh, so apparently it's okay to discriminate against those who identify a certain way, just because they do so. I'll remember that the next time someone spews homophobia at us! C-Amber Posted March 20 Posted March 20 1 hour ago, Maxxxine said: Yeah this isn't 'playful banter' You don't call a colleague a fat kuffar pig stuffing his face and then circulate the video online to humiliate him further. Where did he say fat pig??? We seeing the same video or your ears making stuff up? They clearly joking, and the men even laugh it out. Nothing serious. We have non Muslims everyday around us even Arab countries and they eat as well the restaurants are open for anyone who wants to order, nobody ever cares because we know not all are Muslims. Even in our daily life our children eating and have their normal everyday. Yall just want to bring an issue out of Nothing to make Muslims look bad. 3 1
Forestboy Posted March 20 Posted March 20 I would not care one bit. I'd chow that chow mein down so hard. 1
May Posted March 20 Posted March 20 it depends on the friendship between the two co-workers, honestly this is very British humour and is most likely that. however if the two co-workers don't have a friendship then it IS weird to record him for social media like that 5
TROPICUM Posted March 20 Posted March 20 the vibes i get from this thread are so bad like just aching at anything to freely **** on muslims or something in my opinion, it looked like a joke, felt like banter and from what i've experienced british humor tends to be dry like that… now, if it's actually not a joke and they were genuinely trying to make him feel bad for not following their religion then yes, it is wrong and should be called out, but it CAN'T be a reference point to spew racist rhetoric like categorizing an entire community as 'vile' it's getting weird 10
Fevesy Posted March 20 Posted March 20 This is so obviously a joke lol, you can hear the women laughing in the background - worried about the intelligence levels in this thread! 1
FlyOnTheWall Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Now I'm all for rightfully criticising religion and religious people when they step out of line but people in here acting like this doesn't fully come across as just silly British cis-het male co-work banter makes me wonder if I'm just very used to dry European humour or yall don't go out socialise enough, especially outside of yalls comfort bubble bc...
Margaux Posted March 20 Posted March 20 filming someone eating their meals is very weirdo behavior. the man is obviously hesitant to continue eating, that's why he close his lunch box. this is liken to peer pressure. 2
Dante Silva Posted March 20 Posted March 20 It's not ‘banter'. It's also odd that gays are defending a religion that despises us. 2 1
Red Velvet Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Posts saying this is just a joke but could you imagine if this happened the other away around. The man was clearly peer pressured so just went along with it 5
Bloodflowers. Posted March 20 Posted March 20 He should've eaten his lunch in peace, not everyone believes in invisible sky gods 1
