Not like she's liking generic peace posts, she's not going to post about it on her page especially considering her past. Again, they're not the same, you can defend the girl without bringing Ariana in.

Hope this is true. Celebrities should start suing these people that feel too comfortable throwing anything on the internet without a real proof to let them know about the weight of their words. As most of them are multimillionaires they could sue for a $1 or donate all the proceeds, but that's another story. Social Media seems a competition about who can throw the most severe claim or accusation about someone to get a hit tweet. And using some really serious issues for stan wars.

There's more than enough proof of her being a garbage human being and a fake ass "humanitarian"

Now I don't believe that she is a raging Zionist, but all the lashings that she's been getting are deserved. You're acting like she was minding her business and people are trying to get viral hate tweets about her out of nowhere. This goes way beyond stupid stan wars on ATRL or Twitter (not like any of the girls have made a statement or anything. some of them have liked posts lol). Selena should have sat down and ate her food, but she kept doubling down.

If you are convinced about what you are saying, and you have something to prove it, you shouldn't be afraid of legal actions and you shouldn't censor yourself.

Selena Gomez deserves all the lashings. ZERO sympathy for this alleged zionist.

A zionist is someone who fights for the establishment and expansion of a jewish state (with all the ethnic and religious cleansing that comes with that). People are calling that to Selena Gomez, someone who 99,9% doesn't have a single clue of the history and politics of the area. Someone that most likely has the information the average ignorant citizen has, after seeing a few clips and reading a couple of statements that she has found online, god knows where.

And with that info she just writes the most basic and bland "peace for all" message because her fans are telling her to speak and she doesn't have a profound knowledge of what she has to speak about. She is to blame for speaking about things she doesn't know about, even if she feels the pressure to say something she should be smart enough to know that if you have nothing to say, silence is the better option. But she has every right to defend herself about exaggerated or false claims that have the only purpose of tarnishing her online reputation.

In Bonicapland, what line distinguishes fact from opinion? What would count as sufficient or insufficient language to levy a claim that someone is racist, homophobic, etc.? When does a misinformed or misarticulated viewpoint rise to the level of libel for you?

So she says hashtags don't save lives as a means of talking about the inability of social media to materially impact things/cause palpable change...while also suing anonymous randoms for comments she can easily debunk instead of being a voiceless (in more ways than one!) multimillionaire

Being happy that ur faves does the minimum while attacking others that did the same or even more tbh is peak hypocrisy.

I doubt she's a Zionist but her whole insensitive "if I speak it's not like anything will change" like you don't say, thanks Einstein for letting us know this information.

I've said this before, but I still can't believe that out of the Disney 3 (Miley, Selena, Demi) she would end up being the most annoying.

Y’all think everyone is a Zionist. It’s the new buzzword for 2024 and that’s why nothing is progressing forward. It’s becoming more meme than serious allegation that people can do something productive (like boycott or protest) about.

This is just like BLM 2020 when jobless people searched for decade old tweets of celebs (A to Z list) saying the n word thinking it would get them cancelled. Ultimately, no one got cancelled. It’s a false sense of moral superiority and a surface level way of interacting with the issue at hand. Starbucks boycott makes sense, “cancelling” Selena Gomez does not since she’s still rich and her demographics don’t actually care about this issue at all (and now y’all getting sued for lying on her with flimsy proof of Zionism).

We need to redirect this energy to politicians on all sides (if you’re in the US). :coffee2:

wasn't she seen at a zionist wedding/birthday party like a week after she made her ‘apology' & ‘donation'.

it would be a losing battle if she tried to take it to court, wouldn't be too hard to prove she is a zionist after all.

Her attending a Jewish wedding doesn't make her a zionist, but it surely makes you anti-Semitic saying it...

And as a Selena stan, she is embarrassing. All Americans lost control at this point saying Zionist like it's bad.

Its basically says you believe Israel has the right to exist, no connection to whats going on in Israel right now, Jews deserve a country
