Lose Control would have been looked at the same way as Yes and? People would have been happy about LoM losing a week at #1, and would have justified LC's #1 with the 20+ week organic run that preceded it. Was Lose Control ever close enough to LOM's points for these tricks to have an effect? Cause I doubt those versions and mass downloads can provide more than 20 points, best case scenario

Cause I doubt those versions and mass downloads can provide more than 20 points, best case scenario The week after HISS went to #1 was the week to do it. At that point, LoM was beatable. Yes and? and HISS proved it in 2 of the previous 3 weeks. Lose Control had comparable streaming/radio numbers to Yes and?, so I think LC would have gotten the #1 with the tactics. After all, it was #2 on the actual chart that week without the tactics.

He was 70 points behind that week, there's no way he could reach it no matter how many digital versions his bots downloaded from Amazon. His radio was too weak. Now that he's nearing 60 million in airplay is the right time to try fraud

And like you said wcbf isn't getting a huge push either, but it seems like it will rise gradually (it just got a 1M update today) It's funny because Y,A was actually getting good scores for the first time right when they pulled it
pride4jc1222 Posted March 21 Posted March 21 I'd definitely be in favor of this. It would make it harder for songs, which fell off during the Christmas season, to re-enter after the holidays are over. 1
Grizzo Posted March 21 Posted March 21 come onnnn Cardi come throuuuuughhhhh Enough is just a bop I'm rooting for it to go top 10

pride4jc1222 Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Canada predictions (at least Lovin on Me is dropping here):

YouTube views are counted less than other platforms so it would be in bad taste for the record label to push it too.

They still do it because YouTube is the easiest platform to manipulate - see Drake & Future with their Life Is Good song that got caught faking streams. I have no idea where Teddy Swims's streams are coming from nor could I tell you anything about him. I just find it odd how he keeps surging, especially with sales, when he has no dedicated fanbase. 2
Triton Posted March 22 Posted March 22 Ideally Teddy gets it this week with Cardi solo going top 10, Benson next week with Shakira/Cardi having a strong debut, Beyonce back on top afterwards during her release week.
Mr. Duff Posted March 22 Posted March 22 The charts is amazing this year, so many movements! Teddy, Benson, Jack, Beyonce, Ariana, Kanye, Zach/Kacey, Taylor in the top ten and all going #1 (Teddy and Benson will likely get a week each) - I mean that's insane! But at least all of them are the strongest in their weeks which is amazing. Such a shame Tate stalled at #3, and Snooze didn't go #1 too. But what a top ten, I lvoe all of these songs (maybe not Kanye's or Beyonce's but they are not bad songs). That Djo song is blowing up too, and it's a great song. Let's see how far it can go. I do hope Cruel Summer can hang on to the top ten, and Taylor doesn't make herself go recurrent before 52 weeks. She needs Cruel Summer to go the full year!!! 1
Bethenny Frankel Posted March 22 Posted March 22 I don't use Lose Control, however his cover of Cruel Summer is better than Taylor's version
Pheromosa Posted March 23 Posted March 23 agora hills the smash you are good for cardi, hopefully the album can actually roll out now

If they introduce something like that then ban Christmas jingles from flooding the charts
B-Luke Posted March 24 Author Posted March 24 Hopefully they filter some more Teddy Drowns sales so Benson can be #1
Michael196 Posted March 24 Posted March 24 payola hills matching Cruel Summer's points and blocking it from the top 10 with almost double the airplay
