There are films that have late review embargoes that are acclaimed. Of course it begs the question, if the critic response is strong, why would you wait until release to use it as promotion? Alas, I have faith this will pull through.

Expand I would be shocked if they killed her off because after Dewey, it’d feel like a lazy way of being shocking. She has to survive the entire franchise imo. Her chase looks like it’s gonna be amazing.

I still don't really understand Amber and the boyfriend's (he was that forgettable I can't think of his name ) motive exactly. Jill's was at least clear and focused. Jill's reveal is iconic because you truly do not see it coming.

Comps are all very healthy, over double the previous film's presales ATM. It could possibly do $8-10M in Thursday previews alone! It seems set for at least $40-45M debut. Prob higher. It's the perfect storm of goodwill from a well received last entry and Ortega's heightened popularity. Tracking from major chains in the East Coast have it at 2.38x the previews of Scream 5 right now. It's crushing Shazam 2 rn lmao
