Eh, I'm not believing anything considering this franchise has a history of keeping things VERY secretive. I mean, they won't even let certain cast members to read the reveal and those who can I'm sure have to sign some kind of confidentiality contract.

 Because it was clearly meant to be Mark Kincaid and Sidney stated in '5' her husband was called Mark. With Patrick not returning, it's not like they can just rename her husband.

I smell opening death, that way they can erase the OG Mark from the script (assuming Patrick was meant to be cast and part of the plot). Her husband dying is a good way to get Sid back and as the main character.

I thought it was hopeless when filming started and they said maybe Patrick is still negotiating but I didn't actually believe they'd pull that...so idk what I assumed but

I've let it sink in for a minute and ig this means this new Mark...he could really die/be a GF, and then they could bring in Patrick in the next one so she still has a happy ending with an old bf? it works from that angle but a mess otherwise

 

At this point if it's not something even bigger, I'm good with a S4 tease experience, make GF be her husband and the teen daughter, we want her more surprised than surprised pikachu.

who the hell was excited to see Kincaid back as opposed to Sidney? (plus Gale is also there and Kevin being heavily involved) at least the twins are back for continuity purposes ig but I was never super attached to the newer cast and Kirby underwhelmed me in VI (even if I'll always love and support a booked and busy Hayden -- isn't her spinoff still in the works anyway?)

 

I personally like Mckenna, Celeste and Anna a lot too I don't rly know the rest like that which is not so bad cuz I don't have any bias towards them like I do with Joel's annoying ass  in fact just remembered those fanmade cast rumors from a few months back saying Gale Harold was gonna be in it WHY couldn't he have been the new Mark instead
