Now that they got rid of the rodent and her sister we better not hear anything about their mom that came out of thin air in that corny Riverdale-esque plotline.
stjosephprey4us Posted December 19 Posted December 19 Glad Courtney is officially signed on now also, would it be that hard to keep the race discussion out of this thread
HungryByTheBuffet Posted December 19 Posted December 19 14 hours ago, YourFavoriteWeapon said: This remains my biggest issue with her. The unhinged, socially inept psychotic Gen-Z side of her fanbase has been hurling vile antisemitism (the "greedy" "money hungry" dogwhistles), gross ageist remarks (many can be found on the "Neve joins Scream 7" thread on this very forum calling her "hag"), and disturbing death threats towards her and Courteney, and are going as far to attack and dox the host of the most popular Scream podcast on Twitter simply for just supporting this movie. It's hypocritical of people to try to frame Neve and everyone else signing onto this movie as "bad people bathing in the blood of Palestinian children" when Melissa took no issue with signing onto a new Peacock show when it's common knowledge that NBCUniversal (Peacock's parent company) donates millions to Israel. For her to compare people who are excited for 7 to those who consume by MJ's or Kelly's discography when she's guilty of aligning with zionists her entire career is a kii. She was a Clinique ambassador for godsakes yet now she wants to play a moral high ground and stay silent while Neve's safety physical safety as a Jewish woman is being threatened in a time where antisemitism is at an all-time high. What happened between her and Spyglass is a bummer and it's unfortunate she had to leave the franchise that way, but the "Core Four" were objectively one of the weakest elements of the new entries and Melissa is rivaling Gal Gadot as one of the weakest people to ever lead a mainstream film. I would have rather her exited the franchise (that she had no business being in and almost ruining) on her own accord versus Spyglass giving her the boot, but it's a blessing to know that the franchise is being led by people with actual talent and the ability to deliver lines without sounding like a medicated teleprompter. I welcome Neve back into HER franchise and am wishing her strength and safety as she tries to navigate these toxic Melissa stans. We love you Neve Whilst I think you can be a tad extra with the Melisa hate only because I think we should do better than the Neve/Courteney haters, I agree with all your points, and at the end of the day you're only coming for her performance which duh, everyone has, whilst the Melissa fans are coming for age/heritage/sex like you said. And scrihming, the Gal Gadot comparison is really on point, they truly came from the same school of acting for trees, huh? I go back and forth because I don't think people should be fired over Instagram stories and it does suck for the movie (I wanted to see her as a sorta GF/die etc) At the same time she did slip and say some stuff that shouldn't be said ("Jews control the world, money, and Hollywood") but people will only pull the stories where she was only against the war and say that's why she was fired. I can't get myself to feel too bad about it when it means the movies are back at home with Kevin/Neve/Courteney which is everything I could have asked for. At the end of the day, I'd be a lot more sympathetic if she wasn't so at peace with what happened during 6, she really thought she could **** all over Neve and the history of the franchise and now she expects Neve to dismiss what's rightfully hers for what exactly? If I was Neve and petty I'd give her the "She was so brave for making her own choices, I think it's really important" statement, if asked, then go on with her day like Melissa did Neve during 6. I hope Neve gets a producer credit and more involvement in the next ones, like Jamie did for Halloween... 1 1

Spill! People love to act like Spyglass dropped her for being pro-Palestine when they made it very clear in their press statements that they were against her spouting antisemitism (re: her alluding to Jewish people controlling the media). Not to mention she posted pro-Hamas propaganda too too, yet she wants to cry wolf and act like she was wrongfully fired when she posted a bunch of heinous ****. This Spyglass fiasco was lowkey the best thing to happen to her career yet I bet she'll be talking about it for the next decade. Edited December 20 by YourFavoriteWeapon 1

This thread is for the film Scream 7 which Melissa is not even in 1
Alaska. Posted December 20 Posted December 20 I kinda love the 6th movie and wouldn't mind if they kept ditching Sidney for a while. I love my legendary final girl, but she needs a break from all the killing and traumatic events.

DanielRPK is the GOLD standard of Insiders. Take it to the bank. My mind ponders if they might try and get Melissa and Jenna back for 8. Sidney and Sam's storylines in the original '7' were meant to be split storylines in different locations that ended up converging. What if they end up still doing that, but across two movies? 2
HungryByTheBuffet Posted Sunday at 01:48 AM Posted Sunday at 01:48 AM Wig ok I'm sure Jenna will return eventually but I really don't see Melissa coming back for a major role again, if something works out and everyone puts their egos aside I feel like she'll be an opening kill to lure Tara (a reverse 5 opening) or get a reduced role while Jenna will ascend to her final girl status. But I'd even find that pretty shocking to be honest... I just don't see them going back on what happened like that and asking her back, the order clearly came from high up. Unless Radio Silence returns or some other big surprise like that, which I also doubt will happen, unless 7 has glaring quality issues. Sure it'll be super weird having Tara without Sam but narrative wise it could easily work after everyone has insisted "Sam's story finished in 6" oop I'm so excited we're getting 2 Scream movies without ghost billy hallucinations... imagine that Inb4 Sidney's ghost mom is back 2
HungryByTheBuffet Posted Sunday at 02:24 AM Posted Sunday at 02:24 AM And speaking of Maureen, I really really hope one of these movies has her murder as the opening, now that we're continuing Sidney's story it's one of the easier places to add lore into it and make it all go back to the original... Imagine the shock when we see she was the first one to own a GF costume secretly, and later it's gone as the killer wears it, or that it wasn't Billy/Stu nor Roman who got her that night? I'm not here to write the answers to those questions but a scene like that shot in 90's style and quality and reminiscent of the original opening would be SO iconic. 1
