stjosephprey4us Posted September 19 Posted September 19 I wonder why they don't just put Hayden in Scream 7? I feel like a whole separate TV show will kind of confuse things and ultimately the overall story will suffer…

I feel like a whole separate TV show will kind of confuse things and ultimately the overall story will suffer… I'm assuming Hayden will be in 'Scream 7' and her storyline will set up the Spinoff, probably a 'Ghostface Cult' plot line with a small version of it going after Sidney then FBI agent Kirby Reed addressing the larger cult in her movie.
okgo Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Dewey, David Arquette's beloved "Scream" character, may have been killed off in the fifth installment of the franchise, but Courteney Cox is hoping he can somehow appear in "Scream 7." "I understand the reasons they did it, but whoa! Talk about a missed character," Cox told me at the Rock4EB charity event Saturday. "Dewey is so loved by 'Scream' fans. They have to figure it out." Turns out, Cox has yet to sign on for "Scream 7." As I first reported in March, Cox began talks to reprise Gale Weathers in the seventh installment of the franchise following the announcement that Neve Campbell would return after skipping "Scream 6" due to a salary dispute. "I'm not officially signed on," Cox said. "I'm not, but there will be a 'Scream 7.'" Not that Cox doesn't want to do it. She said she's "excited" that the film will mark Kevin Williamson's first time directing a "Scream" movie. Williamson wrote the script for the first "Scream" in 1996. He came on board as director for the latest installment after Christopher Landon exited the project in late December. "You can't get better than that choice," Cox said of Williamson. "It's going to be fun." Cox said she has no timeline in mind for making a final decision: "They're rewriting all the time. It's not like I don't know what's going on." Campbell previously told IndieWire that filming is set to begin in December in Atlanta after being postponed a few months due to her and Williamson's schedules. 1
stjosephprey4us Posted September 23 Posted September 23 After a rewatch recently: Scream (original) > Scream 5 > Scream 6 > Scream 4 > Scream 3 > Scream 2 2

GraceRandolph Posted September 24 Posted September 24 This sounds like a mess. Bringing Dewey back from the dead? Sidney's kids? 2

The story in 2 was objectively abysmal. The finale randomly being on a college theater's stage? 3 was slightly more entertaining, however the Hollywood aspect was a mess, and Roman was a barely passable Ghostface. I guess 4 could actually be lower than all of them, if it wasn't the first one I watched (and introduced Kirby) 1

okgo Posted September 24 Posted September 24 (edited) I think Courteney is just purposely being suspenseful for the media and like saving casting announcements closer to filming because it's odd she'd be hyping/talking all that about the movie (including how she's aware of script changes) if she wasn't gonna be in it but who knows I do wonder if this ends up becoming true after all? then again she was prob just asked about him and saying anything Edited September 24 by okgo 1
prettyinpink940 Posted October 2 Posted October 2 I can't wait! And before anyone brings it up, no one cares about who Melissa Barrera is, what she said and why she was fired. Abigail flopped. Her upcoming Your Monster will also flop. She will have back to back flops. Twitter activists aren't ticket buyers. Scream 7 will perform on its own merits like critical acclaim, audience reception, general audience interest, marketing, etc. 1 7
Space Cowboy Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Daily reminder that Melissa was fired for supporting Palestine and calling out Israel's genocide and ethnic cleansing. 2 6 2
Smarticle Posted October 2 Posted October 2 i hope they have a good story cause how are you gonna write off the sisters or sidestep them to bring back Neve
