Lbr, most actors just see this as a job. They aren’t usually that heavily invested in these franchises overall.

Scream VI actually works pretty well as a closing chapter for now, but I’m so sad that we have another aborted trilogy now just like the original one Scream 4 was supposed to create.

Unpopular opinion, but I don’t want another Sidney centric movie.

Let’s hope they don’t focus on the two siblings instead rather they go back to Neve and finish her story arc with Patrick Dempsey and Courtney and then lay the franchise to rest.

Exactly! I even thought her appearance in 5 was useless fanservice. Her story is A WRAP at this point. They should give the franchise to a new studio and do a totally new story, because I think the Carpenter sister story is pretty much done as well.

If Neve accepts to come back after all that happened i'll definitively lose a LOT of respect for her 

 

And the sad thing is that i still wouldn't watch it, even if i adore Sidney.

Her appearance made sense in 5. She came back to Woodsboro because her friend was killed, she wasn't in the movie more than needed. That was a good send off for Sidney.

Sydney and Mark coming back would actually be a slay, but only in a limited capacity. Not as the leads. 
 

Im hoping they fix their mistake and rehire Melissa, but if not, I don’t see Scream 7 going through. They might just reboot it or make it a series again.

I'm a huge fan of the first two from the 90s but wasn't of the last two, in my opinion the plot was already oversaturated with both current and old characters.

 

Nothing really positive can come out in trying to bring back Neve Campbell as lead again and doing another movie centered on her, those stories and characters did their time.

 

The best thing to do it's doing tabula rasa and start completely a new story with maintaining just the ghostface killer without references of the past movies and going in a different direction, more gore-dark thriller and less CW teen horror edgy comedy, the last two movies felt too much in that way, sure also the first ones were in that direction but they were different times when it comes to horror.
