The problem is the writers are still trying to replicate meta storytelling like the original 1996 movie. They aren’t doing anything original or updating it enough. They just keep bringing in these corny Randy clones.

I would LOVE if they had someone really big for the opening scene, but they don't use that scene in the promo at all. So once the movie starts playing in theaters, words of mouth does what it needs to do

The earliest I could see it getting released is Christmas 2024, but I feel it got delayed to yet another Q1 release (2025).

we need syndney sweeney as the opening kill or Neve or Jenna. nothing else would make sense. actually killing the final girl is the only plot twist they could go for that gonna be shocking. 6 was amazing by the opening was NOT giving, neither did 5’s.

 

we need to top the original opening this time. and THAT would be super hard to do.

Met most of the cast of the franchise yesterday and Neve Campbell might be the most gorgeous human I’ve ever met in real life. Absolutely stunning and such a sweetheart. My 8 year old self was losing it and she couldn’t have been nicer. David was adorable, Hayden was super sweet and Skeeet Ulrich is still a babe. Matthew Lillard was running around all day loving on everyone. My feet still hurt but it was so worth it!

Apparently, it's not Christmas-themed but moreso taking place during Christmas/winter. I don't think we'll see Ghostface in a Santa hat or anything like that.
